  • Publication number: 20090212945
Abstract: Intrusion detection systems for detecting intrusion conditions with respect to electronic component enclosures are disclosed herein. An intrusion detection system in accordance with the subject matter disclosed herein may include a conductive component that at least partially surrounds a space. The conductive component may cover at least a portion of an electronic component to be protected. Further, the system may include a first conductive trace positioned to contact the conductive component. A second conductive trace may include a portion positioned in the space at least partially surrounded by the conductive component. The system may also include a detection circuit for determining whether at least one of the first conductive trace and the conductive component are not conductively connected and for determining that the second conductive trace is conductively connected to the first conductive trace.

  • Patent number: 5913926
Abstract: An expandable modular data storage array for storing and backing up data transmitted from a host computer including a plurality of data storage devices, a plurality of substantially identical, vertically stacked storage device housings adapted to slidably receive a data storage device, and mechanical connection elements for releasably connecting the top of one storage device housing to the bottom of a storage device housing stacked thereon. The array is connectable to a host computer and receives data and corresponding parity data therefrom. The parity data are indicative of data intended to be stored, from which parity data the intended data are reconstructable.

  • Patent number: 5903716
Abstract: A work station user selects a desired printer default configuration. Thereupon an address exclusively associated with the selected default configuration is appended to the print data sent from the work station to the printer. Default configuration setting circuitry provided, e.g., in a circuit card installed in the printer receives the address and, via a look-up table, provides instructions for implementing the default configuration associated with the address. The printer is then configured in accordance with the selected default configuration.
