  • Patent number: 7381975
Abstract: A microscope that produces magnified images of a sample. An observing component generates image data from the sample, and a moving component generates relative movement between the sample and the observing component. A sensor independently generates position data directly from the sample. A controller receives the image data from the observing component and the position data from the sensor, and applies the position data to correct special relations between the image data.

  • Patent number: 6644604
Abstract: A golf bag stand for supporting a golf bag and the clubs in it particularly when the bag and clubs are being transported in a motor vehicle. The open end of the bag is maintained in an elevated position with respect to the closed end or heel of the bag which is allowed to rest on the surface on which the bag and stand are placed. This orientation of the bag with the club heads in an elevated position tends to reduce or eliminate the tendency of the clubs to slide out of the bag under forces generated by maneuvering the motor vehicle due to the concentration of the weight of a club in the club head. This in turn substantially eliminates damage or marring of the club heads caused by contact between clubs or with other objects or surfaces in the trunk or other cargo space in the vehicle in which the clubs are being transported. The stand can be made inexpensively from a single piece of material, in many cases in one manufacturing operation.

  • Patent number: 4930741
Abstract: An adjustable mounting is provided for use between the foot of a machine and the floor where the machine is located, as well as a method for adjusting the height of the foot. The mounting comprises a bearing member and a compressible cushion member which supports the bearing member, as well as an adjustable member which maintains the bearing member in spaced relation with the supporting member. A lifting member is interposed between the bearing member and the supporting member and is extendable to move the supporting member away from the bearing member without reducing the deflection of the cushion member. The portion of the adjustable member between the bearing member and the supporting member may be readily altered while the load of the machine is borne by the lifting member.
