    Abstract: A temperature measurement device configured to be attached to an implantable medical device for measuring a core body temperature of a patient includes a housing having a top, a bottom, and at least one sidewall extending between the top and the bottom of the housing enclosing an interior. The device also includes: a temperature sensor connected to the housing and/or enclosed within the interior of the housing; a wireless transmitter enclosed within the interior of the housing; and at least one processor enclosed within the interior of the housing electrically connected to the temperature sensor and to the wireless transmitter. The at least one processor is configured to: receive and process data representative of a core body temperature of the patient from the temperature sensor; and cause the wireless transmitter to transmit the processed data to a remote device or computer network.
