    Abstract: A quantum computing D-state AC-Stark shift gate system comprises at least one gate manipulation source and one or more ions trapped in an ion trap. The at least one gate manipulation source is configured to generate a first gate manipulation signal and a second gate manipulation signal. The first and second gate manipulation signals couple an ion between a set of S-states and a set of D-states. The first and second gate manipulation signals apply a force to an ion of the one or more ions that is dependent on the internal state of the ion. The first and second gate manipulation signals are configured to couple internal states of the ions to their motional state without appreciably altering a population of the ions within the set of S-states.

    Abstract: A method for assisting bay parking maneuvers of a vehicle includes locating, by a sensor system of the vehicle, an unoccupied parking space in a bay parking area. The method includes acquiring, by the sensor system, parking data on the unoccupied parking space, the parking data including information on positions of vehicles parking laterally adjacent to the unoccupied parking space in the bay parking area. The method includes deciding, by a decision unit of the vehicle, based on the parking data, if the vehicle fits into the unoccupied parking space side-to-side with at least one of the other vehicles, wherein a predefined lateral clearance is taken into account on both lateral sides of the vehicle. The method includes providing, by a steering assistant unit of the vehicle, steering instructions for steering the vehicle into the unoccupied parking space adjacent to the respective parking vehicle in observance with the predefined lateral clearance.

    Abstract: A weaving machine for producing a woven fabric has a shedding device to form a loom shed of warp material, a weft insertion device for inserting a preferably tape-shaped or band-shaped weft material into the loom shed, a drawing-off device for drawing off the finished fabric in a drawing-off direction, fabric movement device for moving the fabric back and forth in the warp direction to bring the last inserted weft material into contact with the binding point or fabric edge. A shed limiter device limits the opening of the loom shed from above and below the warp, and is movable back and forth in the warp direction. The shed limiter device only loosely bounds the fabric and essentially without actively clamping or pinching or contacting the fabric and/or the last inserted weft material, at least while moving in the direction opposite the drawing-off direction.
