  • Publication number: 20170065836
Abstract: A waveguide couples an acoustic source (such as an ultrasound transducer) to a custom cosmetic product (e.g., a liquid or gel-based skin care product) applied to the skin. In one exemplary embodiment, a distal surface of the waveguide is placed in contact with a relatively thin layer of skin care product that has been applied to the skin. Alternatively, the thin layer can be applied to the distal face of the waveguide, and then the waveguide placed on the skin. The custom cosmetic product has been formulated such that when ultrasound energy is directed into the custom cosmetic product via the waveguide, bubbles included or formed in the custom cosmetic product oscillate, and increase the permeability of the skin to active beneficial agents included in the custom cosmetic product.

  • Publication number: 20170070380
Abstract: A device may aggregate dropped connection information associated with multiple dropped network connections. The dropped connection information may include at least one of: information associated with a mobile device that experienced a dropped network connection, information associated with a user of the mobile device, information associated with an access point that experienced the dropped network connection, information associated with a network from which the mobile device was dropped, or information that identifies a location associated with the dropped network connection. The device may identify a pattern associated with the multiple dropped network connections based on aggregating the dropped connection information, and may provide reporting information associated with the pattern.

  • Publication number: 20160352673
Abstract: A first community Internet of Things (IoT) concentrator can receive first data corresponding to an interaction of a user with at least one of a first plurality of physical objects, the first plurality of physical objects communicatively linked to one another within a first device domain. Responsive to receiving the first data corresponding to the interaction of the user with the at least one of the first of the plurality of physical objects, the first community IoT concentrator or a second IoT concentrator can initiate, based at least in part on the first data, at least one of a second plurality of physical objects to perform a specific act that enhances an interaction of the user with the at least one of the second plurality of physical objects. The second plurality of physical objects can be communicatively linked to one another within a second device domain.

  • Patent number: 9258245
Abstract: A system includes a task scheduler to select a queue from a port. The port includes a determined number of cell slots between pick opportunities. The task scheduler selects a queue at a pick opportunity. A queue manager connects with the task scheduler to pop cell packets from the selected queue, and to send update information to the task scheduler. The update information includes information of how the queue manager expects to fill the cell slots between the task scheduler selections. The task scheduler makes subsequent queue selections based on the update information.
