  • Publication number: 20070259541
Abstract: A electrical interconnection device for receiving and holding a plurality of electrical contacts. The electrical interconnection device includes a metal support substrate having an array of contact receiving apertures extending therethrough. Each of the contact receiving apertures is defined by an aperture wall and the contact receiving apertures are adapted to receive the plurality of electrical contacts. The electrical interconnection device also includes a dielectric layer coating the aperture wall. The dielectric layer insulates the plurality of electrical contacts from the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20070037452
Abstract: An electrical connector adapter (40) is disclosed for electrically interconnecting a portable electronic component such as an MP3 player, CD player, or other portable device with sound or other equipment in a vehicle. The adapter (40) includes a one-piece insulating housing (60) having a system mating end (42) for interconnecting to a vehicle's electrical system and a component mating end (44) for interconnecting to a portable electrical component. Three electric contacts (62, 64, 68) are retained in three openings (90, 92, 94) respectively in the housing (60) and are arranged to electrically mate with a plug (54) of a portable electrical component.

  • Publication number: 20060264072
Abstract: An electrical connector for mating with a plurality of contacts separated from one another by a nominal pitch value includes an array of contact surfaces having a first dimension measured in a direction perpendicular to a mating direction between the plurality of contacts and the array of contact surfaces. The first dimension is greater than the nominal pitch value, thereby assuring electrical contact between the contacts and the contact surfaces despite an actual deviation from the nominal pitch.

  • Publication number: 20060217006
Abstract: An electrical contact includes a conductor comprising a series of arch-shaped elements that are formed continuous with one another and extend along a centerline. Optionally, the arch-shaped elements are pitched at an acute angle with respect to the centerline and are arranged in separate parallel planes that are also oriented at an acute angle with respect to the centerline. The arch-shaped elements includes a pair of opposed leg portions, having first ends joined to a bridge portion and having second ends spaced apart to form an opening therebetween. The leg portions of adjacent arch-shaped elements are joined to one another at linking portions. The arch-shaped elements and the centerline can be arranged in a circular geometry about a center point.

  • Publication number: 20060084295
Abstract: An electrical connector for mating with a conductive plate having a plate mounting edge, and first and second surfaces extending from the plate mounting edge is provided. The connector includes a contact having a contact mounting edge and a lead interface edge opposite the contact mounting edge. A first contact beam and a second contact beam extend from the contact mounting edge, and the first contact beam is configured to engage the first surface of the plate when passed over the plate mounting edge. The second contact beam is configured to engage the second surface of the plate when passed over the plate mounting edge, and the first and second contact beams are laterally offset from one another along the contact mounting edge. At least one lead contact extends from the lead interface edge, and the lead contact is configured to mate with a mating connector.

  • Patent number: 6702307
Abstract: A wheel suspension system for motor vehicles has a horizontally positioned spring-and-damper unit which, by way of levers and links, interacts with wheel carriers of opposite wheels. In order to design the wheel suspension system in a favorable manner with respect to space requirements while ensuring proper functioning of its components, a horizontally positioned spring-and-damper unit and a lever, which can be swivelled about an axis which is upright or relatively slightly inclined, are provided for each side of the wheel. The lever is applied by way of a first lever section to the spring-and-damper unit and is connected, by way of a second lever section as well as a first link to one of the wheel carriers. The lever is connected to a stabilizer by way of a third lever section as well as a second link.
