  • Publication number: 20060108252
Abstract: A lockable container that has a slot for hanging on a merchandising rack as well as an integral locking mechanism is provided. The container includes a spine coupling two covers together. The covers include recessed openings that are aligned with each other to form a slot that passes through the container when the first and second covers are closed together. The container also includes a locking member located opposite the spine for enclosing and locking an asset. The container includes a plurality of clips for retaining and securing any type of asset. A portion of the container is transparent to permit a potential customer to view the asset in the container. The container is firm, cost effective, user and environment friendly and not overly sized.

  • Publication number: 20060042330
Abstract: A lockable storage case includes a top cover pivotably coupled to a bottom cover through a spine. The top cover includes loops or an upper lock receiving member and a lower lock receiving member defining a top cover lock insertion path. The bottom cover includes loops or an upper lock receiving member and a lower lock receiving member defining a bottom cover lock insertion path. The lower lock receiving members of both the top and bottom covers include hooks for receiving and maintaining a latch. When the top cover is closed on the bottom cover, the top and bottom cover insertion paths combine to form a combined lock insertion path. A lock for the storage case includes first and second catch mechanisms with first and second catches. To lock the storage case, the lock is inserted into the combined lock insertion path so that the catches on the lock mate with and are retained with the hooks in the top and bottom covers.

  • Publication number: 20050098453
Abstract: A storage case comprises a top cover, a bottom cover, and a spine. The bottom cover includes a hub portion having a cylinder and is disposed on a frustum shaped member. The diameter of the cylinder is smaller than the upper diameter of the frustum shaped member. A plurality of projections are arranged around the hub portion on the bottom cover. The projections each include a first projection having a first height and a second projection having a second height higher than the first height. The first projections define a first circle with a first diameter. The second projections define a second circle with a diameter which is larger than a diameter of the first circle. A hub coupling member having a crescent extending therefrom is disposed on the top cover. The top and bottom covers each have a side wall disposed near the spine which are effective to create a second wall, parallel with the spine, when the covers are closed.

  • Patent number: 5730283
Abstract: A package and storage unit includes a tray slidable within an endoskeleton/exoskeleton frame. The edge of each surface of the endoskeleton/exoskeleton frame includes a cavity/recess and protrusions to hold a wrapped paperboard with graphics to be wrapped around the frame. Slots on three edges of the rear of the frame receive a folded rear portion of the paperboard. The tray includes a spring with a ledge and two protrusions to securely hold and easily remove the disk from the tray. In an alternative embodiment, the frame includes a pair of parallel pushers, and the tray includes a pair of guides. The arrangement of the pair of pushers and guides is used to securely hold and easily remove the disk from the tray. Both the frame and tray include contour portions to latch the tray in an open or closed position in the frame. A locking mechanism has a housing with parallel flanges to overlie a portion of the faces and a side of the frame and to prevent the tray from being withdrawn from the frame.
