  • Patent number: 9848534
Abstract: A harvesting unit with a combine, having a user cab. A harvesting apparatus, advanced by the combine, has a frame and a harvesting assembly on the frame configured to process severed crop over a width between spaced sides of the frame. A fluid delivery system discharges pressurized fluid in discrete streams each directed to at least one of: a) facilitate severance of crop by the harvesting assembly; and b) facilitate advancement of severed crop rearwardly in relationship to the frame for further processing. A user can selectively vary at least one of: a) a volume of pressurized fluid; and b) a direction of pressurized fluid in the discrete streams. A control system has at least one actuator accessible and operable from outside of the cab through a user input to cause the at least one of the volume of pressurized fluid discharged, and direction of the pressurized fluid, in the discrete streams to be varied.

  • Publication number: 20170238462
Abstract: An extension assembly for a processed crop storage tank on a combine. A closure assembly for a top opening on the tank has at least one panel with one surface area that is exposed to bound a part of an exterior space above the storage space with the closure assembly open. The extension assembly has a first extension panel with a first surface with a first area and a connecting system through which the first extension panel is operatively connected to the combine. The first extension panel is changeable between a deployed position and a stored position. In the deployed position the first surface and one surface define a combined exposed surface area that is greater than the first area of the first surface. The combined surface area is exposed to confine processed crop in the exterior space with the closure assembly open.

  • Publication number: 20170218300
Abstract: A method of forming a layered candle assembly includes positioning a candle core in a form. A layer of powdered wax is loaded into the form. The powdered wax layer has an outer region and an inner region. Mechanical force is applied to compress the outer region of the powdered wax layer and form an upper interface surface that is substantially non-horizontal. The outer perimeter of the interface surface is visible to an observer in the finished candle assembly. A liquefied fuel substance is poured over the top of the powdered wax layer to form a layer of solid wax. A wick may be added to at a desirable stage in the method of forming the layered candle assembly. • Publication number: 20150332829
Abstract: A cryogen cooling system to cool a superconducting magnet is disclosed herein utilizing embedded vertical tubing with a large heat exchanging surface area. The tubing encompasses the magnet which is further surrounded by a 4 Kelvin thermal shield for extended ride-through. In one embodiment, the system is a hyperpolarizer having an internal high-pressure gas storage for quench gas and to initiate cool-down. Aspects of the invention utilize a minimal volume of pressurized gas, for example, four (4) liters of pressurized gaseous helium in a 150 mL liquid helium system. As such, the prior vent stack has been removed, along with the helium vessel and quench paths/ducts. The method of using the system is further simplified during ramping while the cool-down process utilizing liquids supplied from external dewars has been eliminated. Significant advantages include reducing the helium volume (and cost associated therewith) and allowing for a hermetically sealed vacuum system that is leak-proof.
