  • Patent number: 11774415
Abstract: Described is a metering pump that may be used to meter volumes of sample in a chromatography system. The metering pump has a modular configuration that allows for separation of a head pod from a drive assembly for easy serviceability. The head pod includes a pump head, cartridge housing, seal wash housing and plunger. The drive assembly can be implemented in an inline drive configuration. Alternatively, the drive assembly can be implemented in an offset drive configuration in which a stepper motor is displaced laterally from other drive assembly components but is coupled through a belt and pulley system.

  • Patent number: 11711358
Abstract: A system for granting access to an account at an access device includes a computer server having a hardware processor and a memory storing a software code. The hardware processor executes the software code to receive a login request from the access device through a first communications socket, open a second communications socket between the access device and the computer server, transmit a verification request message including a required call-to-action to a verification device through a third communications socket, and receive a verification response message verifying that the required call-to-action has been completed at the verification device. Upon receiving the verification response message, the software code sends an access token for accessing the account to the access device through the second communications socket, receives the access token from the access device, and grants the access device access to the account.

  • Patent number: 9831061
Abstract: The subject matter described herein includes methods, systems, and computer readable media for measuring and correcting drift distortion in images obtained using the scanning microscope. One method includes obtaining an image series of a sample acquired using scanning-microscope by rotating scan coordinates of the microscope between successive image frames. The method further includes determining at least one measurement of an angle or a distance associated with an image feature as a function of rotation angle from the series of rotated images. The method further includes using the at least one measurement to determine a model for drift distortion in the series of images. The method further includes using the drift distortion model to generate a drift corrected image from the series of images.

  • Patent number: 9645123
Abstract: Low-pressure mixing of fluids includes a pumping system having a pump and a fluidic inlet port through which fluid is introduced to the pump. A fluid proportioning system is in fluidic communication with the fluidic inlet port of the pumping system to deliver thereto a fluid stream comprised of multiple different fluids. The fluid proportioning system includes a manifold having a plurality of inlet ports, an outlet port connected by tubing to the fluidic inlet port of the pumping system, and an outlet conduit providing an internal fluidic passageway to the outlet port. Each inlet port is fluidically coupled to a fluid source to receive one of the different fluids and to the outlet conduit to deliver thereto the received fluid for delivery out of the manifold through the outlet port to the fluidic inlet port of the pumping system.

  • Publication number: 20160267440
Abstract: A method of organizing events based on real-time location information is disclosed. The method includes receiving a search radius, determining a current location of a user device based on real-time location information, and receiving location information associated with an event specifying a location of the event. The method further includes determining whether a distance between the current location of the user device and the location of the event exceeds the search radius and responsive to determining that the distance between the current location of the user device and the location of the event does not exceed the search radius, displaying information associated with the event on a display of the user device.

  • Patent number: 7356138
Abstract: A method of operating a virtual private network includes the steps of: (a) dialing a custom number; (b) receiving the custom number at a switch (20) of a first carrier; (c) routing the call to a switch (18) of a second carrier based on having received the custom number; and (d) when the call to the switch (18) of the second carrier includes a plain old telephone number translation of the customer number, routing the call over the second carrier to a service switching point (26) of a third carrier.
