  • Patent number: 8424441
Abstract: A booster system including a piston housing, a piston, a spring, and a rear cap attached to the piston housing. The piston housing includes an annular outer wall and an annular projection extending inward from the outer wall at a rear end of the piston housing. The piston is disposed within the piston housing and includes a bore and a radially outwardly extending flange at its front end. The spring is radially disposed between the piston housing and the piston in a space enclosed by the outwardly extending flange and the annular projection. The rear cap includes an end wall extending radially outward from a rear end of the piston housing. A side wall extends forward from the end wall and hangs over the outer wall of the piston housing at a radial distance from the outer wall of the piston housing. The sidewall of the rear cap includes an engagement surface for attachment to a body of a silencer.

  • Patent number: 8387299
Abstract: A recoil booster for use with a sound suppressor for a firearm includes a hollow piston configured to be coupled to the firearm, a cap assembly, and a housing configured to be coupled to the sound suppressor. The cap assembly is removably coupled to the housing and includes an inner periphery configured to slidably guide a head portion of the piston. The housing includes an internal shoulder configured to abut the head portion of the piston in a nominal position of the booster. When the cap assembly is uncoupled from the housing, the piston is removable from the booster by sliding the head portion of the piston forward out of the cap assembly.

  • Publication number: 20110219909
Abstract: A bicycle handlebar assembly that includes a body having at least two grip areas positioned for interaction with the hands of a rider. The grip portions or grip areas are preferably spaced apart by a center portion that secures the assembly to a bicycle steerer tube. A channel or detent is formed in the body proximate at least one, and preferably proximate each grip portion or grip area. A dampener formed of a different material than the body is disposed in the detent and dissipates at least a portion of vibration of the body to reduce vibrations communicated to the hands of the rider from handlebar vibration. An optional grip assembly cooperates with the handlebar assembly and is constructed to further dampen handlebar vibration.

  • Patent number: 7931246
Abstract: A track assembly for a vehicle seat includes a first track (22) having a first portion and a second track (24) coupled to the first track (22). The track assembly also includes a first set (104,106) and a second set (108, 110) of friction reducing members provided at first and second locations between the first track and the second track to facilitate sliding movement of the second track (24) relative to the first track (22). A device for preventing the sliding movement of the second track is provided that includes a pin configured to lock the second track in place relative to the first track by engaging a first portion (38) of the first track (22), a first portion (68) of the second track (24), and a second portion (70) of the second track (24). The pin extends between the first set (104) of friction reducing members and the second set (106) of friction reducing members when the second track is prevented from sliding.
