  • Publication number: 20250116908
Abstract: A large-area switchable electro-optic light modulator or display and method of manufacture are disclosed. The large-area light modulator comprises an array of individual light modulator units sandwiched between two larger light-transmissive substrates coated on their inner surfaces with light-transmissive electrode layers with electrical connections to each unit that do not compromise the transparency of the light modulator in an open state. The large-area display comprises an array of individual display units. A large-area light-transmissive substrate coated on its inner surface with a light-transmissive electrode layer is superposed on the individual display units with electrical connections to each unit that do not compromise the transparency of the display. The light modulator and the display can be readily manufactured using conventional equipment.

  • Publication number: 20250072926
Abstract: Examples of transection devices are disclosed. One example includes an elongated body having a U-shaped notch, wherein the U-shaped notch includes a wall surface extending from a surface of the elongated body and an upper extension extending from the wall surface substantially parallel with the longitudinal axis of the elongated body. An incision member located in the U-shaped notch preferably extends from the elongated body toward the extension of the U-shaped notch at an angle. The incision member is well suited for cutting pericardial tissue as it passes through the U-shaped notch.

  • Patent number: 12242013
Abstract: A process mimicking forward modeler with deposition and erosion at each specific geological time step. The 3D derived properties are high resolution depositional environments and rock properties that are used to generate multiscale labelled synthetic data. These synthetic data can range from 1D logs such as grain size, gamma ray, density, and velocity, to 3D synthetic seismic, and are used directly as training data for various AIML applications.

  • Publication number: 20240032908
Abstract: A catheter device includes a tube that has a distal opening that is configured to be transluminally advanced into the subject; and an extracorporeal unit that is coupled to a proximal end of the tube. A series of cartridges is arranged along the extracorporeal unit, each of the cartridges having an initial position in which the cartridge holds a respective anchor. Each of the cartridges is, moveable from the initial position to a deployment position while remaining coupled to the extracorporeal unit. A driver is configured to, for each of the anchors, sequentially, while the respective cartridge is in the deployment position, move the anchor out of the respective cartridge and through the tube toward the distal opening. Other embodiments are also described.

  • Patent number: 10667842
Abstract: Apparatus is provided including a surgical tool configured to be advanced distally within a body of a subject. The surgical tool is shaped to define a side-facing suction port at a distal portion of the surgical tool to facilitate drawing tissue through the suction port and into the surgical tool, and includes a slidable transparent shutter configured to be disposed over the suction port, and to be slidably removed from the suction port. A needle is configured to be slidably disposed within the surgical tool and configured to puncture the tissue while the tissue is in the surgical tool. Other applications are also described.

  • Publication number: 20190228322
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating fault groups of related vehicle component faults and recommending a solution for resolving detected faults are provided. In one implementation, a method includes a step of obtaining historical data related to a plurality of vehicle component faults detected from a plurality of vehicles. The method also includes the step of statistically associating the vehicle component faults to categorize the vehicle component faults into a plurality of fault groups. The vehicle component faults that are categorized in the same group have a higher probability of occurring together than vehicle component faults that are categorized in different groups.
