Publication number: 20250113996Abstract: A method implemented in an ophthalmic laser system to perform iris registration based on two iris images taken with the patient at upright and supine positions, respectively. For each iris image, the iris region is transformed into a rectangular rubbersheet, with the radial and angular coordinates of the iris image respectively mapped to vertical and horizontal coordinates of the rubbersheet. A horizontal one-dimensional log-Gabor transform is applied to the rubbersheet line-by-line. The transformed rubbersheet is binarized line-by-line. The two binary rubbersheets are compared at a series of relative horizontal shifts to determine the horizontal shift value that produces the lowest Hamming distance between the two binary rubbersheets, and the cyclotorsion rotation of the eye between the upright and supine positions is calculated accordingly.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 7, 2024Publication date: April 10, 2025Inventors: Javier Gonzalez, Michael Campos, Jayesh Shah, Harvey Liu

Patent number: 12273783Abstract: Systems and methods may facilitate initial establishment and/or handover of an air-to-ground (ATG) communication link between an aircraft and a ground-based cellular communication network (e.g., a 5G network). The systems and methods may be particularly applicable for an aircraft having a user equipment (UE) antenna that uses narrow beamforming to connect to a cell of a base station (gNB). The UE identifies candidate cells based upon the location of the UE and locations and orientations of cells in the network, identifies a cell having a higher likelihood of connection success compare to other cells, and directs a beam to the chosen cell. The systems and methods may enable the UE to create neighbor lists in real time based upon the UE location, and may prevent blind searching normally associated with narrow beamforming methods.Type: GrantFiled: May 11, 2022Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: GOGO BUSINESS AVIATION LLCInventors: Heinz A. Patent number: 12270967Abstract: Field calibration of a pressure device involves collecting simultaneous pressure data or pressure and temperature data at two devices for multiple time points. Pressure differences between pairs of simultaneous data points of the collected pressure data are calculated. A model is fitted to the pressure differences and the temperatures and/or pressures, and model parameters are used to correct measurements from the second device. Alternatively, a pressure gradient is estimated for a region that encompasses the two devices for each time point. A distance is determined between the two devices. A pressure gradient difference is determined between the two devices for each time point. A pressure difference offset is obtained for one of the pairs of simultaneous data points for each time point. An average pressure difference offset is determined between the two devices and is used to correct measurements from one of the devices.Type: GrantFiled: November 7, 2022Date of Patent: April 8, 2025Assignee: NextNav, LLCInventors: Michael Dormody, Guiyuan Han, Badrinath Nagarajan, Wei Liu, Prashant Dave, Arun Raghupathy

Publication number: 20250112917Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable media are described herein that use a user-agent-based non-extractable cryptographic keypair to generate a cryptographic proof containing a device fingerprint that an authentication system can use to subsequently identify and/or register a known device. Specifically, the systems disclosed herein may generate the device's “fingerprint” in an isolated and secured environment. Although the private key cannot be extracted from the isolated and secured environment, the authentication system can verify the truthfulness of the device's identity. This cryptographic “fingerprint,” in concert with a synchronous authentication system, has the ability to essentially eliminate authentication phishing.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 25, 2024Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventors: Michael FINN, Joe BLACK, Wentao LIU, Fei-Yang JEN, Michael Berryhill

Publication number: 20250111400Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for the aggregation and analysis of vehicle prices via a geo-specific model. Data may be collected at various geo-specific levels such as a ZIP-Code level to provide greater data resolution. Data sets taken into account may include demarcation point data sets and data sets based on vehicle transactions. A demarcation point data set may be based on consumer market factors that influence car-buying behavior. Vehicle transactions may be classified into data sets for other vehicles having similar characteristics to the vehicle. A geo-specific statistical pricing model may then be applied to the data sets based on similar characteristics to a particular vehicle to produce a price estimation for the vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 12, 2024Publication date: April 3, 2025Inventors: Michael D.
