  • Publication number: 20250024189
Abstract: A head-worn sound reproduction device is provided in the form of left and right earphones, which can either be clipped to each ear or mounted on other headgear. The earphones deliver high fidelity audio to a user's eardrums from near-ear range, in a lightweight form factor that is fully “non-blocking” (allows coupling in and natural hearing of ambient sound). Each earphone has a woofer component that produces bass frequencies, and a tweeter component that produces treble frequencies. The woofer outputs the bass frequencies from a position close to the ear canal, while the tweeter outputs treble frequencies from a position that is either close to the ear canal or further away. In certain embodiments, the tweeter is significantly further from the ear canal than the woofer, leading to a more expansive perceived “sound stage”, but still with a “pure” listening experience.

  • Publication number: 20240330627
Abstract: A system and method utilizes a machine readable garment identification tag at a first station to enter information on the specific garment into a computer system. The garment data from the garment identification tag is assigned to a garment identifier which is printed or formed on a hanger neck sleeve member. The hanger neck sleeve member provides a consistent scan point through all the subsequent sorting stations in the system. This eliminates the need to search for the position of the garment tag to scan in sort stations subsequent to the initial station. Each hanger neck sleeve member has a machine readable code that is assigned to the associated garment and is placed on the neck of the hanger for that garment. The position of the hanger neck sleeve member on the neck of the hanger makes it readily accessible and readable, significantly more so than the garment tag in these regards.

  • Patent number: 11929869
Abstract: Various embodiments of the disclosure disclosed herein provide techniques for detecting anomalies across one or more components within a distributed computing system, according to various embodiments of the present disclosure. An anomaly detection system retrieves event data associated with a real-time stream of events generated by one or more components within a distributed computing system. The anomaly detection system computes a failure metric based on the event data. The anomaly detection system determines that the failure metric exceeds a dynamically adjustable trigger condition. The anomaly detection system generates an alert associated with the failure metric.

  • Publication number: 20230356049
Abstract: A hockey-stick blade includes a heel region, a toe region spaced longitudinally from the heel region, and a mid-region located between the heel region and the toe region. The toe region includes one or more reinforcing elements, optionally of different lengths, located at different vertical positions within the toe region. The blade further includes a hosel that optionally is tailored to substantially match the strength and stiffness characteristics of an attached or integral hockey stick shaft. The mid-region of the blade exhibits improved feel and flexibility characteristics due to the increased stiffness in the toe region.

  • Patent number: 11616719
Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a sticky canary router routes each request associated with a service to either a canary cluster of servers that implement a modification to the service or a baseline cluster of servers that do not implement the modification. The sticky canary router implements a mapping algorithm that determines the routing of each request based on a current time, a time window for the routing, and a characteristic of the request. Notably, the mapping algorithm may be implemented such that, for time segments with duration equal to the time window, the sticky canary router routes all requests received from a particular device in a consistent fashion—either to the canary cluster or to a baseline cluster. Configured thusly, the sticky canary router enables the analysis of approximately full sections of client interactions with the canary servers, thereby facilitating identification of client-side effects of the changes.

  • Patent number: 11534668
Abstract: A hockey-stick includes a blade and a shaft. The blade includes a heel region, a toe region spaced longitudinally from the heel region, and a mid-region located between the heel region and the toe region. The blade optionally also includes a hosel to which the shaft is attached. One or more tuning rods or similar structures are positioned in the blade to increase the blade's stiffness to substantially match the stiffness of the shaft. The tuning rods are optionally located in the mid-region of the blade and may extend into the hosel and, in some cases, into the shaft or the toe region.

  • Publication number: 20220282132
Abstract: The teachings herein are directed at multi-layer films, tie layer compositions for multi-layer films and related methods, and to polymeric adhesive compositions and methods for manufacturing polymeric adhesive compositions. The tie layer composition preferably adhere to polypropylene, and more preferably adheres to both polyethylene and polypropylene. The tie layer preferably includes a propylene based elastomer. The tie layer includes one or more thermoplastic polyolefins. The tie layer composition may include a grafted polyolefin, e.g., having one or more functional grafts. The polymeric adhesive compositions preferably adhere to both polypropylene surfaces and to polyethylene surfaces. The polymeric adhesive composition preferably comprises a minority amount (i.e., less than about 40 weight percent) of a propylene based elastomer polymer and a majority amount (i.e., greater than about 55 weight percent) of an ethylene containing polymer.

  • Publication number: 20210214291
Abstract: The use of lycopene has been demonstrated to be effective in decreasing risk factors associated with cardiovascular disease, skin cancer and prostate cancer in mammals. Lycopene is difficult to solubilize in its native trans-lycopene form. Cis-lycopene, formed by applying thermal energy generated by excitation of polar molecules through microwave-assisted processing, appears in several isomeric forms. The cis isomers are effective in improving lycopene micellularization, bioaccessibility and mammalian absorption. The cis isomers are effective in improving vascular circulation of lycopene by way transport vesicle low density lipo-protein (LDL).

  • Publication number: 20190382293
Abstract: A system and method for pH neutralizing waste liquid is provided. The waste liquid to be treated is collected in a treatment tank, and the initial pH of the waste liquid is determined. The initial pH value of the waste liquid is then compared to high and low reference pH values which are the highest and lowest acceptable pH values for the waste liquid after treatment. In accordance with the comparison of the initial pH value of the waste liquid to be treated and the reference pH values, either an acid neutralizer or a base neutralizer is added to the waste liquid using one or more venturis as the waste liquid is being pumped from the treatment tank through a recirculation line until the desired end pH value of the treated waste liquid is equal to or between the reference high and low pH values. After treatment with an acid or base, the treated waste liquid may be discharged from the treatment tank to a drain, sewer, or other destination.
