  • Publication number: 20260142060
Abstract: A dielectric bushing cover, for use with high voltage components, securely connects to the bushing and includes an expanded portion for surrounding a grippable handwheel that is used for clamping a wire to the metal connector of the bushing. In this way, the energized handwheel is not exposed to the elements to prevent flashover between the handwheel and the cover.

  • Patent number: 12624377
Abstract: Methods and kits are provided for producing Griffithsin. The methods include providing a genetically modified microorganism comprising a gene encoding Griffithsin protein operably linked to an inducible promotor and growing the genetically modified microorganism under conditions that induce the promotor and cause expression of griffithisin. The Griffithsin is purified by releasing Griffithsin from the microorganism by cellular disruption, performing a precipitation step to remove contaminating protein and nucleic acids, and performing an anion exchange chromatography step.

  • Patent number: 12608433
Abstract: An action selection facility for a website made up of pages is described. The facility receives requests, each identifying a requested page among the website's pages, and a requesting user for whom the request was generated. For each received request, the facility: (a) identifies actions presently available to the requesting user that can be performed using the website; (b) accesses a set of action determinant factors that relate to the request, and uses them to generate a score for each identified action; and (c) selects a proper subset of the identified actions based at least in part on the scores generated for them.

  • Patent number: 12577572
Abstract: Improved production of recombinant proteins in E. coli, reliant on tightly controlled autoinduction, triggered by phosphate depletion in stationary phase. The process also provides an optimized autoinduction media, enabling routine batch production at various culture volumes where cells densities routinely reach ˜5-7 g cell dry weight per liter and offer protein titers above 2 g/L. The methodology has been validated with a set of diverse heterologous proteins and is of general use for the facile optimization of routine protein expression from high throughput screens to fed-batch fermentation.

  • Publication number: 20250201453
Abstract: A dielectric bushing connector cover, for use with high voltage components, has a dielectric inner connector cover that securely fits over an energized metal connector of the bushing. The inner connector cover has an opening for receiving an energized wire. Over the inner connector cover is a dielectric outer barrier. The outer barrier is securely supported by the top skirts of the ceramic bushing. The bushing may be supported by a grounded housing of a transformer. Since the metal connector is surrounded by at least two dielectric layers and an air gap, there is no voltage arc or leakage current between a bird's nest contacting the outer barrier and the transformer housing. In another embodiment, the outer barrier may surround a conventional plastic bushing cover without directly contacting the conventional bushing cover.

  • Publication number: 20240423461
Abstract: An imaging head of a medical scope comprises a capsule that encapsulates an image sensor and electronics associated with the image sensor. The imaging head further comprises a light guide, within or attached to the capsule, that conveys illumination to a field of view of the image sensor. The imaging head can be disassembled by breaking or cutting the capsule to separate the image sensor and the electronics from the light guide. The imaging head is manufactured by encapsulating the image sensor and electronics, and optionally also the light guide, in a capsule. The light guide may be overmoulded in a first overmoulding step to embed the light guide in an overmoulded body. The image sensor and electronics may then be positioned beside or against the overmoulded body and overmoulded in a second overmoulding step to complete the capsule.
