  • Publication number: 20250166471
Abstract: A visual signaling system includes smart signage with a set of three or more lights visible from a single direction. Activation of the lights in a first pattern indicates a hazard and for individuals to move away from the sign. Activation of the lights in a second pattern indicates safety and for individuals to move toward the sign. Activation of the lights in a third pattern indicates a need for caution and for individuals to refrain from approaching the sign. The visual signaling system may include a plurality of smart signs which display different patterns on different signs depending on the location of each sign relative to the hazard, thereby guiding individuals away from the hazard.

  • Patent number: 12139889
Abstract: A method for assisting an operator in operating a machine. The method includes receiving, by a controller, a selection of a task of a plurality of tasks, each task associated with a corresponding movement pattern of the machine; sensing, by a sensor unit, at least one condition of at least one component of the machine associated with the selected task; and determining, by the controller, whether the condition is within a predetermined set of parameters associated with the selected task. In response to determining that the condition is not within the predetermined set of parameters, the method further includes generating, by the controller, an audible or a haptic signal associated with at least one of the condition or the at least one component.

  • Publication number: 20240354884
Abstract: Systems and methods for providing security to building occupants include a plurality of smart exit signs positioned at locations in or around a secure area to be monitored. Input devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to be receptive to sensory activity within the secure area. The system further includes a master controller configured to analyze input signals indicative of the sensory activity detected within the secure area to determine whether a potential security issue exists. Output devices contained in the smart exit signs are configured to receive indication from the master controller when a potential security issue exists. In response to receiving indication from the master controller, the output devices are configured to assist occupants within the secure area to respond to the potential security issue by providing real-time information on optimum exit routes or shelter-in-place locations.

  • Patent number: 11977569
Abstract: Disclosed is a natural language processing pipeline that analyzes and processes a corpus of textual data to automatically create a knowledge graph containing the corpus entities such as subjects and object and their relationships such as predicates or verbs. The pipeline is configured as an end-to-end neural Open Schema Construction pipeline having a coreference resolution module, an open information extraction (OIE) module, and an entity canonicalization module. The processed textual data is input to a graph database to create the knowledge graph displayable through a graphical user interface. In operation, the pipeline modules serve to create a single term for all entity mentions in the corpus that reference the same entity through coreference resolution, extract all subject-predicate-object triplets from the coreference resolved corpus through OIE, and then canonicalize the corpus by clustering each entity mention to a canonical form for mapping to the knowledge graph and display.

  • Patent number: 11573067
Abstract: The present invention relates to a wearable self-defense spray system and method of use. The system comprising a wristband having a cartridge bay, a band, and a clasp that interconnects to secure the wristband around a wrist of a consumer. A cover fastens across the back surface to seal the body closed. A spray canister is pressurized with a self-defense spray liquid and snuggly fits into the cartridge bay in a non-slip, non-rotating manner. The spray canister has an egress port through which by depressing the spray valve the self-defense spray liquid egresses the spray canister in the direction of a threat such as a person, animal, or other threat. In exemplary embodiments, the wristband and spray canister can be scaled in dimension to fit the finger of a consumer as a ring or hung on a cord or chain and worn as a necklace around neck of the consumer.
