  • Patent number: 12186943
Abstract: Provided herein are methods of forming and optimizing cured features on a surface including controlling the surface upon which the cured features are applied. Additionally, a system for forming and processing the topographical features on the membrane is also described, along with mechanical features at specific system stations. More particularly, provided herein are methods of forming and optimizing topographical features applied to a membrane surface by controlling the membrane surface and by controlling the direction and magnitude of pressure applied to the membrane (substrate), as well as initially partially curing the topographical features, followed by fully curing of the topographical features to form the membrane having topographical spacing features formed thereon.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 28, 2021
Date of Patent: January 7, 2025
Assignee: Henkel AG & Co. KGaA
Inventors: Michael M. Izzo, Ivan Gustaf Johnson
  • Publication number: 20230120156
Abstract: Disclosed is a high-penetration hot melt adhesive for separation apparatus, such as thin film composite reverse osmosis filtration membranes. Also disclosed is a method of using these hot melt adhesives to bond these membranes to one or more other components of a separation apparatus.

  • Patent number: 11433357
Abstract: The present invention provides a membrane filtration module comprising a housing in which the filtration membrane is disposed in a fixed positional relationship by a potting or bonding material obtained by the curing of a two component (2K) composition consisting of: a first component (A) comprising at least one compound (a) having at least two acetoacetate functional groups; and, a second component (B) comprising at least one compound (b) having at least one amino group, each said amino group being a primary or secondary amino group.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 19, 2020
Date of Patent: September 6, 2022
Assignee: Henkel AG & Co. KGaA
