Patent number: 12286315Abstract: A system performs a method of manufacturing a vehicle. The system includes a camera, a transport device, and a processor. The camera obtains an image of a part that is to be assembled to the vehicle. The transport device orients the part with respect to a surface and drops the part onto the surface. The processor creates a first model representing the part and a second model representing the surface from the image, places the first model at a selected drop orientation and a selected drop height with respect to the second model, simulates a drop of the first model onto the second model, and determines a change in a dimension of the first model resulting from the simulated drop. The part is dropped onto the surface at the selected drop orientation and the selected drop height when the change in the dimension of the first model meets a criterion.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 2022Date of Patent: April 29, 2025Assignee: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventors: Ziqiang Sheng, Anthony Vincent Tocco, Timothy J. Publication number: 20250123186Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for detecting anomalies in a semiconductor processing system. According to certain embodiments, one or more external sensors are mounted to a sub-fab component, communicating with the processing system via a communication channel different than a communication channel utilized by the sub-fab component and providing extrinsic sensor data that the sub-fab component is not configured to provide. The extrinsic sensor data may be combined with sensor data from a processing tool of the system and/or intrinsic sensor data of the sub-fab component to form virtual sensor data. In the event the virtual data exceeds or falls below a threshold, an intervention or a maintenance signal is dispatched, and in certain embodiments, an intervention or maintenance action is taken by the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 20, 2024Publication date: April 17, 2025Inventors: Ryan T. Patent number: 12264518Abstract: An escape hatch stay system for an aircraft and methods of using the escape hatch stay system. An escape hatch stay system includes a first stop arm, a second stop arm, and a gas strut. The first stop arm is rotatably coupled to the second stop arm, and the second stop arm is pivotably coupled to the gas strut. The first and second stop arms are lockable to preclude relative movement therebetween to lock the escape hatch in an open position. When the escape hatch is in the open position, the escape hatch may not be closed shut without manual intervention. When the escape hatch is in the open position, a load applicable to push the escape hatch open past the open position is damped by the gas strut.Type: GrantFiled: July 18, 2023Date of Patent: April 1, 2025Assignee: Textron Innovations Inc.Inventors: Michael Clinton Lay, Evan M. Patent number: 10071921Abstract: An upright reactor body with a perforated interior tube member which extends for the length of the reactor body. A water inlet permits water to be treated into the perforated tube member. A fibrous metal anode surrounds the perforated tube member followed by a surrounding layer of dielectric and then a surrounding metal cathode layer, wherein water from the inlet passes radially through the perforations in the tube member, through the anode, dielectric and cathode members, emerging from the reactor body through an outlet. A DC voltage is imposed on the cathode and anode.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2014Date of Patent: September 11, 2018Assignee: Lean Environment Inc.Inventors: Michael M. Johnson, Edward J. Patent number: 4794344Abstract: An apparatus 10 and method for producing a high-energy laser beam 14'". A low-power, good quality, input laser beam 14 is produced by master oscillator 12. The low-power beam 14 is focused at an input focal point 20 and reflected from turning flat 22 to a power amplifier 24 where it is amplified to a moderate power level. It is then transmitted through a polarization beam splitter 28 and its optical path length adjusted by adjustment means 30,32,34,36 prior to being directed to a phase conjugator 44. A quarter-wave plate 40 causes the phase conjugated returning beam 14" to be orthogonally polarized thereby reflecting it from polarization beam splitters 38,28. Beam 14" is then passed through the power amplifier 24 and focused at an output focal point 50 in a vacuum. The resultant high-power output beam 14'" is produced without significant degradation in the beam quality.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 1986Date of Patent: December 27, 1988Assignee: Rockwell International CorporationInventor: Michael M.
