  • Patent number: 11889398
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing emergency assistance includes receiving audio, visual, or text data about an ongoing emergency at a public safety answering point, comparing that data to a database of other emergencies with an artificial intelligence engine, recognizing patterns in aggregated and correlated data by the artificial intelligence engine, and generating appropriate audio, visual, and text output for a human operator to respond to the emergency. An AI engine receives audio data, visual data, and text data related to ongoing emergencies being received at public safety answering points and compares it with data from other emergencies. The AI engine identifies key words and patterns and generates appropriate messages for operators. The system continuously generates feedback to the AI engine to aid in machine learning. The feedback includes: “the message was correct; continue drawing this conclusion”; and “the message was wrong; do not continue drawing this conclusion.

  • Publication number: 20230421972
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compact hearing aids, components thereof, and support systems therefor, as well as methods of insertion and removal thereof. The compact hearing aids generally include a sensor, such as a microphone, an actuation mass, an energy source for providing power to the compact hearing aid, a processor, and an actuator enclosed in a housing that is designed to be inserted through the tympanic membrane during a minimally-invasive outpatient procedure. In operation, the microphone receives sound waves and converts the sound waves into electrical signals. A processor then modifies the electrical signals and provides the electrical signals to the actuator. The actuator converts the electrical signals into mechanical motion, which actuates the actuation mass to modulate the velocity or the position of the tympanic membrane.

  • Publication number: 20230401687
Abstract: The invention advances the ratio method of phosphor thermography using two machine vision cameras for full-field temperature measurements of a solid surface. As an example, algorithms from digital image correlation (DIC) can be used to determine the stereoscopic imaging system intrinsic and extrinsic parameters, and accurately register material points on the sample to subpixel locations in each image with 0.07 px or better accuracy. A phosphor calibration sample fabricated using aerosol deposition can be used for in situ determination of the temperature-versus-intensity ratio relationship. The full calibration methodology and several improvements on two-color phosphor thermography open the door for full-field temperature measurements in dynamic tests with deforming test specimens.
