  • Publication number: 20250269112
Abstract: Methods and systems to validated physiologic waveform reliability and uses thereof are provided. A number of embodiments describe methods to validate waveform reliability, including blood pressure waveforms, electrocardiogram waveforms, and/or any other physiological measurement producing a continuous waveform. Certain embodiments output reliability measurements to closed loop systems that can control infusion rates of cardioactive drugs or other fluids in order to regulate blood pressure, cardiac rate, cardiac contractility, and/or vasomotor tone. Further embodiments allow for waveform evaluators to validate waveform reliability based on at least one waveform feature using data collected from clinical monitors using machine learning algorithms.

  • Publication number: 20230414361
Abstract: Devices are provided for mechanically induced ventricular growth in a single ventricle patient that include a body comprising a plurality of springs coupled together to define an open upper end and a closed lower end, wherein the springs surround an interior region of the body sized to receive a portion of a patient's heart. The device may be secured over a portion of a patient's heart, e.g., overlying the left ventricular region, and the bias of the springs may apply strain to the myocardium of the heart to induce ventricular chamber growth.

  • Patent number: 11055953
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a video display input assembly including a mechanical rotatable bezel surrounding the video display. The video display input assembly is suitable for use in a gaming terminal, a gaming cabinet or a gaming machine, including as a retrofit to an pre-existing gaming machine. Direction and speed of a manual rotation of the bezel is detected and interpreted. The result may be used to control various aspects of operation of the gaming terminal, gaming cabinet or gaming machine, including providing input for game play. The video display may be updated in real-time to reflect the rotation of the bezel. A motor may be coupled to the rotatable bezel to provide resistance, assistance or operator feedback.

  • Publication number: 20170193604
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide for systems, computer program products, and methods for a financial wellness application that provides an overview of the financial well-being of users. The financial wellness of the users may be determined by identifying personal characteristics of the users regarding background information about the users and the users' households. Based on a user's personal characteristics, financial wellness questions are determined from a plurality of financial wellness questions to present to the user for which the user provides financial wellness input. The financial wellness input is transformed into a financial situation assessment, day-to-day management assessment, and preparation for the future assessment, which are transformed into an overall wellness score. Moreover, the financial wellness input may also be compared against financial wellness thresholds.

  • Patent number: 9637999
Abstract: An isolation method is described for gravel packed zones separated by at least one packer and having an auxiliary conduit passing through the packer into adjacent zones. The conduit includes at least one each of a shunt tube, flow housing, annular space, and isolation valve housing. The flow housing, the annular space, and the isolation valve housing are all annular and formed between two concentric pipes. The method includes running in an assembly of screens isolated by at least one packer with at least one auxiliary conduit extending into adjacent zones defined by the packer when the packer is subsequently set. The method also includes closing flow in said conduit to prevent flow into shunt tubes during production based on creating a flow barrier in the annular space, the flow housing, or the isolation valve housing, the shunt tubes supplying slurry through the auxiliary conduit prior to the production.

  • Publication number: 20120247344
Abstract: A dispensing mechanism is described for rapid and efficient production of injera bread. A flour/water batter mix is dispensed from a holding tank through a dispensing slot onto a conveyor belt, for transport to cooking and packaging stages. The holding tank may dispense onto the interior of a rotating drum type pierced with hole patterns through which the batter flows in the proper shape on to the conveyor belt, or the batter may pass through an oscillating plate with a half-moon pattern that forms injera patties on the belt.

  • Patent number: 7769838
Abstract: A request is received to establish a VPN session with a server-side system from at least one client computer out of a plurality of client computers coupled to a modem within a client-side system. The request contains login details for a user of the at least one client computer. A network address, such as an IP (Internet Protocol) or MAC (Media Access Control) address of the at least one client computer is then determined. The user is authenticated based on the user login details, and a VPN tunnel is established over the modem between the at least one client computer having the network address and the server-side system. The same method is then used for the remainder of the plurality of client computers coupled to the modem within the client-side system.
