In example embodiments, a handheld device for transferring a substance includes a receptacle configured to receive and hold the substance. The receptacle is pivotably mounted to a handle about at least one pivot point, thereby forming an axis of rotation of the receptacle. The receptacle is rotatable about the axis of rotation in response to an external force being applied to an outer surface of the receptacle.

Abstract: A container for use on a dump truck style transport trailer is described, and specifically a container for transporting a fluid mixture such as a slurry or sludge is described. The container has interior hinging baffles for dividing the container into compartments and preventing the contents in the container from moving around during transport. The container has a tailgate that is connected to the baffles such that pivoting the tailgate causes the baffles to pivot. The container also includes a sealable lid that can be opened for loading contents into the container and closed for preventing spillage of the contents during transportation. A cleaning system and heating system for the container are also described.

Abstract: A power load management system for regulating power demand from a distribution panel of a residence or building is disclosed. Load control switches placed in-line between circuit breakers of the distribution panel and the loads they control, such as a water heater, pump, AC unit etc., provide load feedback data to a load management CPU. The load management CPU monitors the load feedback data and other operational parameters for selectively switching load control switches to the open circuit state to ensure that the total load demanded does not exceed the demand limits imposed by the power source. The load management CPU includes adaptive algorithms to automatically prioritize loads based on user and utility applied weighting factors, and patterns of loading based on time and date.

Abstract: A combination marketing system for use in the retail or wholesale sale of goods and services is disclosed. The marketing system preferably includes the distribution of a pre-recorded medium which contains a presentation feature, a data collection feature, a data transmission feature, and a link feature. By using the marketing system, the seller is able to direct the customer to the seller's web site without the need for the customer to engage in any volitional acts to move from the conclusion of the presentation on the pre-recorded medium to the seller's web site, thereby avoiding the loss of the customer's attention and the possibility of the customer's error in entering the seller's web site address.
