  • Patent number: 7940744
Abstract: A method and system for automatically configuring a plurality of wireless peripheral devices within a network environment. The method includes identifying a plurality of wireless peripheral devices, including one existing networked wireless device. The existing networked wireless device is configured to function as a master device. The master device identifies one of the remaining wireless peripheral devices that has yet to be configured. The master device replicates itself by wirelessly transmitting the configuration data to the identified wireless peripheral device. The configuration data enables the identified peripheral wireless device to assume network operation and to assume functionality of the master device so as to be capable of automatically causing the configuration of additional peripheral devices.

  • Publication number: 20100317625
Abstract: This invention provides novel ?-lactamase inhibitors of the aryl- and heteroaryl-sulfonamidomethylphosphonate monoester class. The compounds inhibit three classes of ?-lactamases and synergize the antibacterial effects of ?-lactam antibiotics (e.g., imipenem and ceftazimdime) against those micro-organisms normally resistant to the ?-lactam antibiotics as a result of the presence of the ?-lactamases.

  • Patent number: 7474446
Abstract: A color reduction processing apparatus and method reduce an original image containing many colors to a printable image containing few colors according to human color sensation. A conversion processing unit converts the pixel data for each pixel in an RGB color image (original image) to HLS data. A color reduction processor then generates print image data (the reduced-color image) reduced to a first color, second color, and a non-printing color by calculating the hue H, lightness L, and saturation S values of the HLS data based on specific parameters. These parameters can be set from an operating screen presented on a display. The original image and reduced-color image are presented on the display for verification by the user.

  • Publication number: 20070060696
Abstract: Diacetals of sorbitols and xylitols are employed in polyolefins as nucleating agents. Diacetals of sorbitols and xylitol nucleating agents may be provided in granular or powder form from hoppers or mixing equipment into polyolefins during the formation of polymeric compositions and polymeric articles. Flow of diacetals of sorbitols and xylitols is improved by the use of certain silicas, in certain defined weight percentages. Submicron size range silica compounds may provide excellent flow enhancement properties when blended and used with diacetals of sorbitols and xylitols powder compounds. A hydrophobic silica mixed with diacetals of sorbitols and xylitols compounds also may provide enhanced flow properties for such mixture, as compared to mixtures using hydrophilic silica. Loading ranges of silica may be important in improving the flow of diacetals of sorbitols and xylitols compounds.

  • Publication number: 20050200883
Abstract: A method for configuring a printer comprises printing instructions associated with a set of options on a printer. Input based on the printed instructions is received via an input interface of the printer. The printer is then configured according to the input received. The instructions can correspond to a set of options which are printed with the instructions. The options can correspond to pre-defined settings identified using user-friendly names. In one embodiment, the input is sent to a server that then transmits configuration information to the printer. Upon receipt of the configuration information, the printer configures itself accordingly.
