    Abstract: Rheumatoid arthritis is treated with the administration of a therapeutic dose of a therapeutically acceptable PAD inhibitor. Administration can occur after the onset of RA symptoms, or prophylactically before such symptoms present. In one embodiment, the inhibitor has a side chain including a benzamide group to the left and an ester group to the right of a peptide bond.
