  • Patent number: 11410504
Abstract: The invention relates to systems and methods of revealing portions of outcomes of real-world wagers through interactive media by storing reserve wagers, receiving an indication a first token has been acquired by a user, determining a tracking wager associated with the first token, matching a stored reserve wager with the tracking wager, associating the matched reserve wager with the first token, and revealing at least a portion of the outcome of the matched reserve wager to the user by the user's interaction with the interactive media. By integrating real-world wager outcomes with user interactions, the system may provide an engaging user experience with interactive media. For example, a game may reveal an outcome of a real-world wager (which has already occurred), in response to in-game actions such as user actions in the game, other players' actions, game events, and/or other events.

  • Patent number: 11346989
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polarization filter for ophthalmic lenses. The polarization filter comprises a mesogen layer coated onto a retardation film, either directly or through an adhesive layer. The present invention further discloses that the polarization filter formed by employing a thin film or sheet, having a defined level of retardation between the light source and the mesogen layer, for example, a cholesteric mesogen layer, the multilayered laminate structure demonstrates linear polarization of the light transmitted through the mesogen laminate structure, and, hence, can be used in ophthalmic lenses, e.g. spectacle or eyeglass lenses. The polarization filter enhances the performance by allowing transmission of the polarization filter closer to the theoretical maximum transmission.

  • Publication number: 20220026613
Abstract: A wire grid polarizer comprises parallel grids of composite wires wherein each grid includes a coating stack having at least one high refractive index material coated on an aluminum layer. The coating stack comprising at least one high refractive index material reduces the reflection of the wire grid polarizer from between 40-50% to between 5-10%. Possible candidates for the high refractive index materials include Ge, Si and alloys of these materials having refractive indices greater than 3 with extinction coefficients above 0.2.

  • Patent number: 11112620
Abstract: An anti-reflective coating system configured to resist crazing resulting from applied compressive forces, and an optical article employing the anti-reflective coating system; and methods of forming the same. The methods include forming a first anti-reflective coating over a first surface of the optical article and applying a second anti-reflective coating over a second surface of the optical article, where the second anti-reflective coating has substantially the same reflectance than the first anti-reflective coating and a mechanical property distinct from the first anti-reflective coating.

  • Publication number: 20210147970
Abstract: An apparatus and method for continuous operation for the production of conductors that include twisted or stranded wires or filaments includes supply payoff for providing a plurality of strands that have been work hardened. The wires or strands are annealed in line with the payoff and subsequently cooled by a chiller in line with the annealer for cooling the annealed strands output from the annealer to a predetermined temperature. A strander in line with the annealer and cooler or chiller is provided for imparting at least one twist to the annealed and cooled strands. Speed control, for example a dancer, is provided in line between the cooler and the strander for adjusting and controlling the speed or velocity of the strands moving along the line to maintain a speed compatible with the take up speed of the strander. The predetermined temperature is selected to be the ambient operating temperature of the strander for copper or aluminum cable.

  • Publication number: 20210011199
Abstract: An ophthalmic article having a coating system which provides antireflective and easy clean properties to the ophthalmic article. The coating system includes alternating layers of low refractive index metal oxide and high refractive index metal oxynitrides and corresponding high refractive index metal oxides. The coating system provides favorable surface energy to the ophthalmic article when at least one layer of the high refractive index metal oxynitride is encapsulated between two layers of low refractive index metal oxide.

  • Publication number: 20200306427
Abstract: Inline pumps with rear attachable syringes include a pump and a syringe with each designed so that the pump syringe system may be easily coupled and decoupled in the field. An end mount block on the pump has a slot shaped to accept a similarly shaped plunger button and plunger rod on the syringe. A user aligns the plunger button of the syringe next to the slot on the mount block of the pump, and slides the plunger button and rod into the inner cavity of the pump. Both the pump and the syringe have threaded couplers which securely couple the pump to the syringe by rotating the couplers with respect to each other.

  • Publication number: 20190373165
Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) models are switched, tuned and retrained. This process may be performed with respect to systems having artificial intelligence engines in connection with video cameras and associated video data streams. An AI model is obtained for a video camera based on, for example, historic video streams from the camera for the past day, week, month, year, or any other time period. The AI model is then modified for the camera after the system obtains, for example, data internal to the video camera, data external to the video camera and data related to objects of interest for the video camera. As the AI model is modified, a processor associated with the system may adopt linear regression algorithms to regress conditions to the modified model and other available models.
