  • Publication number: 20060118462
Abstract: Microcrystalline paraffin having a consistency in a rage of paste-like to solid, prepared by catalytic hydroisomerization of FT paraffins having a carbon chain length distribution in a range of 20 to 105 at temperatures above 200° C., and being free of aromatic compounds, heterocyclic compounds, and naphthenes.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 19, 2003
    Publication date: June 8, 2006
Inventors: Helmuth Schulze-Trautmann, Michael Matthai, Thosten Butz, Gunter Hildebrand
  • Publication number: 20040192979
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel and completely synthetic microcrystalline paraffin, said paraffin being obtained in a simple manner and with a high yield by the catalytic hydromerisation of paraffin FT comprising 20 to 105 carbon atoms. Said paraffins can be pasty to solid at room temperature and have a higher percentage of iso-paraffins than n-paraffins. Since they do not contain aromatic compounds they are particularly suitable for use in the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food industries.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 17, 2004
    Publication date: September 30, 2004

  • Publication number: 20030231928
Abstract: Bitumen or asphalt for producing a road topping, whereby the bitumen or asphalt contains a proportion of paraffin obtained by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FT paraffin). A road topping with the bitumen and a method for producing a corresponding road topping or roadway covering using the bitumen.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 20, 2003
    Publication date: December 18, 2003

  • Publication number: 20030002920
Abstract: The invention relates to bitumen or asphalt for producing a road topping, whereby said bitumen or asphalt contains a proportion of paraffin obtained by Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FT paraffin). The invention also relates to a road topping with said bitumen and to a method for producing a corresponding road topping or roadway/covering using said bitumen.

  • Publication number: 20020155984
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for producing a paraffinbased object, especially a candle, with a proportion of a perfume, in which the perfume is dissolved in a solvent containing an ester, especially an organic ester, e.g. triglyceride and the solution is in turn added to or dissolved in paraffin.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 3, 2001
    Publication date: October 24, 2002
Applicant: Schumann Sasol GmbH & Co.
Inventors: Norbert Matzat, Michael Matthai, Claus Starke
  • Patent number: 6096102
Abstract: A candle comprising candle base materials of a variety of kinds, on the one hand of a candle base material of a first kind which consists in part of white oil and of copolymer, synthetic paraffin being further contained as a constituent, in particular of chain length C18 to C20, and on the other hand of a candle base material of a second kind consisting of conventional paraffin derived from crude paraffins. The different candle base materials are arranged one over the other in a layered manner.

  • Patent number: 5896914
Abstract: The invention relates to a heater (1) for use in a room of a dwelling, preferably with a convection surface (3) and, in the case, for example, of a hot-water heater, with a water tank with an inlet and an outlet aperture. To obtain a design more advantageous concerning the use, the heater according to the invention has a separate closed storage chamber (7) containing a latent heat storage medium (8), the storage chamber (7) being heatable by radiation, convection or electrically.
