Publication number: 20240154592Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC), comprising: a first input pin for receiving a first input signal; a first converter configured to convert the first input signal to a first output signal; a first gain stage configured to apply a first gain to the first output signal; gain update circuitry configured to: output a first external gain control signal to a first output pin of the IC; and subsequently output a first internal gain control signal to the first gain stage to update the first gain of the first gain stage, wherein output of the first internal gain control signal is delayed relative to output of the first external gain control signal by a first predetermined delay, the first predetermined delay to compensate for signal chain delay between the first input pin and the first gain stage, wherein the gain update circuitry comprises level detection circuitry configured to determine a signal level of the first input signal or the first output signal.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 9, 2023Publication date: May 9, 2024Applicant: Cirrus Logic International Semiconductor Ltd.Inventors: Andrew J. HOWLETT, Michael CHANDLER-PAGE, David P. SINGLETON, Erich P. ZWYSSIG, Craig MCADAM

Publication number: 20240133867Abstract: A breath capture and analysis system includes a breath inlet for capturing a user's breath. The breath is drawn into the system and retained for analysis. The system includes a membrane that allows volatile organic compounds contained in the breath to pass therethrough. The volatile organic compounds pass into a vacuum chamber that includes a residual gas analyzer that is configured to analyze the volatile organic compounds. The analyzed breath is then vacated from the system.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2022Publication date: April 25, 2024Inventors: David Staack, Daniel Arthur McAdams, II, Matthew Leonard Burnette, Devesh Bhasin, Xin Tang, Maulik Kotecha, Kavita Rathore, Christopher Campbell, Jason G. Publication number: 20220144558Abstract: Checkout conveyor belts can become contaminated with a variety of bacteria and pathogens. Manual disinfection of the conveyor belt is time consuming and results in excess wetness. The invention is an apparatus for automated application of a disinfectant solution to a checkout conveyor belt. The apparatus includes an elongate applicator, a contact surface, an internal elongate cavity, and a solution delivery assembly. The applicator mounts to an end of the belt housing and spans the width of the belt. The contact surface contacts the outward facing surface of the belt. A dispensing tube evenly distributes a flow of disinfectant solution to the cavity of the applicator adjacent the contact surface. The solution delivery assembly delivers a flow of disinfectant solution to the dispensing tube. A cover assembly urges the contact surface of the applicator against the outward facing surface of the belt and covers non-belt contacting surfaces of the applicator.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 25, 2021Publication date: May 12, 2022Inventors: Jamie Mackay, Michael McAdam, Trevor Hein

Patent number: 8776621Abstract: A fluid delivery system including a filter for filtering solid particles from a liquid sample, the filter including a first filter member configured to filter solid media from a liquid sample, a second filter member fluidly connected to the first filter member, and a third filter member fluidly connected to a downstream end of the second filter member. The second filter member is configured to filter relatively smaller solid media from the liquid sample than the first filter member, and the third filter member is configured to filter relatively larger solid media from the liquid sample than the second filter member. In various aspects, the system includes a displacement-type plunger needle to draw sample fluid from a vial, a cantilevered carousel for rotatably supporting an array of sample holding vials, and a support for supporting the carousel. Method of using the fluid delivery system are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 2009Date of Patent: July 15, 2014Assignee: Dionex CorporationInventors: Walter D. Modic, Michael McAdams, Lawrence T. McNary, Trung K. Huynh, Christopher A. Pohl, Frank Hoefler

Patent number: 8449658Abstract: A high-pressure capillary degas assembly includes an assembly block having an eluent inlet and an eluent outlet, and a separator support extending therebetween, a wash inlet and a wash outlet and a groove extending therebetween, a tubular separator extending within the assembly block, the separator having an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface defining an eluent fluid line fluidly interconnecting the eluent inlet and outlet, the outer surface abutting against the separator support and enclosing the groove to define a wash line within the groove. The separator may be configured to retain liquid in the eluent fluid line at a first pressure and allow gas to flow through the separator to the wash fluid line at a second pressure lower than the first pressure. A method of using the high-pressure capillary degas assembly is also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 2011Date of Patent: May 28, 2013Assignee: Dionex CorporationInventors: Michael McAdams, Milton Liu, Gary L.
