  • Publication number: 20120152706
Abstract: An electrical switching apparatus such as, for example, a subminiature or aircraft circuit breaker, is provided for a circuit protection module of an electrical system, such as an aerospace power distribution unit. The circuit protection module includes a panel member. The electrical switching apparatus includes a housing, separable contacts enclosed by the housing, an operating mechanism for opening and closing the separable contacts, and a mounting element for attaching the housing to the panel member. The housing is a thermally conductive liquid crystalline polymer. The panel member and mounting element are thermally conductive. Heat generated by the separable contacts is transferred away from the separable contacts, through the housing and the thermally conductive mounting element, and into the thermally conductive panel member. A circuit protection module and an electrical system are also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070246900
Abstract: An collet and lock nut assembly includes a collet for receiving a cutting tool shank and a lock nut for creating a gripping force between the collet and the shank. The collet has a nose portion and a body portion separated by an annular groove. The lock nut has a plurality of retention tabs and a corresponding number of clear portions. The collet and lock nut assembly can be easily assembled by inserting at least one retention tab within the groove of the collet, and then applying pressure to the collet such that the remaining retention tabs of the lock nut are received within the groove of the collet to place the assembly in a locked position. The collet and cutting tool shank can be drawn from the tool holder by applying rotational torque to the lock nut. The collet is easily removed from the lock nut by applying pressure in any circumferential, lateral direction against the collet.

  • Patent number: 7249087
Abstract: This invention relates to a marketplace and management system related thereto. In particular, it relates to a marketplace for freight transportation and the systems necessary to support such a marketplace. It is a comprehensive system that acts as an intermediary between buyers and sellers of freight transportation and provides the related support services. The marketplace generally operates over a network using a user interface with various levels of integration. The marketplace facilitates sales of freight transportation services, including multi-leg and multi-modal freight transportation services through several systems including, catalog rates and auctions. The related services provided by the marketplace allow buyers and sellers to enroll in the marketplace, maintain their accounts, and track their operations within the marketplace. Sellers can also manage the rates they charge for providing freight transportation.
