  • Publication number: 20210261287
Abstract: A container with a magnetic self-aligning sleeve includes a container that defines an interior receiving cavity with an opening at one end adapted to receive liquid or solid, and a base at an opposing end. The container additionally includes a sleeve defining a container receiving interior cavity with an opening at one end receiving the container, and a base at an opposing end. Of note, the container receiving cavity has an inside diameter that exceeds an outside diameter of the container. Finally, the container includes a first pair of magnetic arrays. A first one of the first pair of magnetic arrays has a primary polarity and is included with the base of the container. A second one of the first pair of magnetic arrays has a secondary polarity opposite the primary polarity and is included with the base of the sleeve.

  • Patent number: 10449453
Abstract: A virtual reality (VR) gaming platform has a head-mounted display (HMD), software executing on a processor, controlling display of a virtual environment in the HMD and providing functions for network connectivity via a digital port, a three-axis input device providing input to the processor, and dedicated control scripts executable on the processor to provide specific functions in moving an avatar and establishing camera position. The control scripts operate during game play to move the avatar from a first position to a second position in response to specific directional input from the player via the three-axis input device, the camera remains stationary while the avatar moves, and when the avatar stops moving, the camera position teleports to at or near the new avatar position.

  • Patent number: 9808720
Abstract: Systems and methods for hosting a game are disclosed in which a user is granted a first base comprising a three-dimensional section with a base target. Game credit is earned through successful completion of campaigns in which the user, posed as an avatar, fights against a plurality of defendants of a second base in a three dimensional action format in which the avatar and the plurality of defendants use weapons against each other. The user is provided with a description of base upgrades, including three-dimensional pre-fabricated sections that can be dynamically added to the first base, and associated costs for the upgrades. Upon selection a base upgrade, the associated cost of the selected upgrade is deducted from the game credit accrued by the user. The first base is augmented with the selected base upgrade thereby augmenting a defense of the first base.

  • Publication number: 20070014889
Abstract: The invention is a multi-phase, sheeted chewing gum product, a method and an apparatus for making such a product. The product includes a first mass of a chewing gum formed in a generally flat sheet and a second mass of a confectionery product having a different color than the first mass. The second mass is smaller than the first mass and is embedded in the first mass so as to be visible with the first mass from the top surface of the chewing gum. The method includes the steps of forming the first mass into a slab with a generally flat surface. The second mass is formed into at least one piece which is brought into contact with the flat surface. The slab and the piece are pressed to produce a generally flat sheet which is cut into segments of a desired width, length and shape.

  • Patent number: 5997976
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for making optical discs (e.g., for use in digital versatile discs ("DVDs") are provided. An optical disc made in accordance with this invention includes at least one roughened surface portion to mask any manufacturing irregularities and thereby improve the appearance of the disc and, if the disc is used in a DVD, then also the DVD. The method includes roughening a section of a mold in contact with molten plastic, molding an optical disc with that mold so that at least one side of the optical disc has a roughened surface portion, and if the disc is used in a DVD, securing the disc to another disc with adhesive to form a DVD.
