  • Publication number: 20140356656
Abstract: This innovation is related to intelligent battery management system and method for optimizing the battery set to the best performance. The management system is supported by a cutting-edge method and corresponding embodiment, which can automatically re-combine batteries in a battery set in parallel connection or in series connection or in mixed series-parallel connection, or mixed parallel-series connection, and makes each individual cell in a battery being accessible, which means each individual cell can be monitored (i.e. its parameters can be measured) and charged or discharged. Therefore, with this system, batteries can be charged or discharged to their best performance.

  • Publication number: 20130104182
Abstract: The present invention relates to delivery of non-image data frames via a high-speed digital pixel cable using a main pixel channel of the cable to carry non-image data frames and using a side channel of the cable to indicate that particular data frames sent on the main pixel channel are to be treated as non-image data instead of pixel data. The non-image data may, for instance be edge blending, warping or color balance data. Alternatively, it could be a firmware update. The high-speed digital pixel cable could be a DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort-compatible cable. The side channel could be a DDC, CEC or custom channel. Further aspects of the technology disclosed are described in the accompanying specification, claims and figures.

  • Patent number: 8303039
Abstract: An adjustable head restraint assembly is provided with a support rod adapted to be mounted proximate to a vehicle seat back. A primary frame is supported on the support rod. A secondary frame is mounted to the primary frame for translation in a fore and aft direction. A locking arm is pivotally connected to one of the frames for engagement with a series of notches formed in the other. A biasing member cooperates with a locking arm for biasing the locking arm into a locked position. An actuator pivots the locking arm out of engagement from the series of notches for unlocking the locking arm and permitting adjustment of the adjustable head restraint in the fore and aft direction. The primary frame translates along the support rod with a locking arm for engagement with notches in the support rod for movement by the actuator for adjustment in an upright direction.

  • Publication number: 20100297970
Abstract: A transmitter RF front-end integrated on a single substrate is enabled to determine whether associated IF amplification stage provides a required transmission gain for transmitting an output signal of an application. A dedicated power amplifier driver within the transmitter RF front-end is configured to provide additional gain, when needed based on the determination, to meet the required transmission gain for transmitting the output signal. The associated IF amplification stage comprises an upconversion mixer and a lowpass filter (LPF). The upconversion mixer may be implemented as an active mixer or a passive mixer. The upconversion mixer and the dedicated power amplifier driver are enabled to operate in 2.44 gigahertz. A maximum gain provided by the associated intermediate frequency (IF) amplification stage for transmitting the output signal is determined to decide the additional gain provided by the dedicated power amplifier driver by comparing with the required transmission gain.

  • Publication number: 20100189042
Abstract: Aspects of compensating for transmitter output power may comprise sampling an on-chip transmitter circuit temperature at various time instants and determining a feedback temperature compensation value. At least one digital-to-analog converter may be adjusted by utilizing the feedback temperature compensation value, which may correspond to the sampled temperature. The digital-to-analog converter may be an I-component digital-to-analog converter and/or a Q-component digital-to-analog converter. At least a portion of the on-chip transmitter circuit may be characterized to determine power output dependence of the on-chip transmitter circuit on temperature variation of the on-chip transmitter circuit. Based on this characterization, a feedback temperature compensation value that may correspond to the sampled temperature may be used to adjust the digital-to-analog converter. The feedback temperature compensation value may be, for example, from a lookup table or an algorithm.
