  • Publication number: 20240092077
Abstract: A controller design for a dual input single output (DISO) system is applied to a robot for printing layouts at construction sites. The differential drive robot has a separately controlled linear actuator that moves the print head perpendicularly to the fore-aft axis of the robot. The output is the lateral position of the print head; the sum of the position of the linear actuator (faster stage) relative to a reference point on the front of the robot, which is determined by the steering of the robot (slower stage). Both are measurable. The controller coordinates the action of the separately controlled linear actuator and the differential steering to achieve fast convergence and sub-millimeter tracking. Simulations and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • Publication number: 20130011822
Abstract: A mobile learning system having (1) a web site which allows a user, typically, a teacher, to gather or import and organize digital educational contents and (2) a software application for use with a tablet, notebook or other portable electronic device associated with a remote user, e.g., a student, which functions to download selected materials from the website. The web site permits a teachers to bundle material for viewing by students on a tablet or notebook device. The web site will allow teachers to locate educational content or upload their own content e.g. e-books, study guides, worksheets and combine them to create units. Units are comparable to chapters of a textbook. These units will be combined to create courses. Through the mobile application, courses containing the individual units will be downloaded to a student's tablet or notebook device. The student will download the application to his device and be able to access the units for his particular course.

  • Patent number: 5612409
Abstract: Aqueous solutions or dispersions of organooligosiloxanes or organopolysiloxanes that include one or more nitrogen-containing side chains and in which a radical containing a polyoxyalkylene unit is bonded to the second Si atom of the chain are suitable for treating fiber materials. A pleasantly soft handle is hereby imparted to the fiber materials, in particular textiles. The novel siloxanes can be obtained by reacting dialkoxysilanes containing substituents having amino groups with cyclic trisiloxanes or tetrasiloxanes, followed by reaction with silanes that contain substituents having polyoxyalkylene units.

  • Patent number: 5393859
Abstract: Organopolysiloxanes in which two polysiloxane chains are bonded via a divalent radical can be obtained by reaction of cyanuric halides with organopolysiloxanes which contain primary amino groups in substituents. The divalent radical contains 1,3,5-triazine rings, to which a halogen atom is still bonded. The organopolysiloxanes thus obtained are suitable for soft handle treatment of fiber materials. In particular, textile sheet-like structures which comprise cellulose fibers can thereby be given a soft handle and improved permanence of the treatment effects with respect to washing processes.
