  • Patent number: 8583382
Abstract: The apparatus, system, and method provides an instrumented container with a contour similar to that of a production container which includes two portions spaced apart and joined by a torque sensor. The instrumented container also includes a processor which directs the periodic sampling of data measured by the torque sensor during the capping process, and a memory which stores a plurality of data values. The apparatus, system, and method provides a reusable instrumented container form to which a portion of an actual production container may be attached. The instrumented container is indistinguishable, for purposes of the capping line, from a regular production container. It may thus be used to test individual spindles, randomly test application torque, verify set application torques, and provide accurate information as to the impact of a particular dye or other variable on bottle capping.

  • Patent number: 8386072
Abstract: A filler product supply system (5) and method using two or more conduits (120, 130) to deliver filler product under pressure from product reservoirs (200, 210) to in fluid isolation to a supply manifold (58). Filler product is further delivered in fluid isolation from supply manifold (58) through conduits (170, 171) to two or more filling heads (180, 190). Downstream from filling heads (180, 190), the previously isolated fluid lines are combined to introduce two or more distinct filler products into a single container without creating a homogenous mixture.

  • Patent number: 6065508
Abstract: A filler product supply apparatus (10) and method has one or more conduits (17) for delivering filler product under pressure to a manifold (30). Filler product is delivered through manifold (30) to one or more filling heads (18, 28) integral with the manifold. The filling heads (18, 28) deliver the filler product directly from the manifold into containers.

  • Patent number: 5554242
Abstract: A two-stage building method and apparatus for making an uncured tire including winding on shoulder wedge and sidewall components from strip material on a first stage building drum, winding on gum cushion on a band building drum and making up sequential breaker packages for second stage application to the tire.

  • Patent number: 5515239
Abstract: A storage column structure includes multiple storage column elements that interlock together in a vertical stack to form a compact, unitary tower assembly. A power supply module is positioned as a base unit to provide stability for the tower assembly. Each of the remaining storage column elements is adapted to receive and hold a removable modular storage device, such as a disk drive mechanism. Storage column elements are electrically interconnected in the stack to provide for the storage modules held by the storage column elements electrical power and connection to preferably a SCSI bus. The storage column elements are secured together by manually turnable fasteners provided in each storage column element. With the exception of the base unit, each of the storage column elements includes a floor that supports a removable storage device module; therefore, a storage device can be inserted or removed without affecting the structural integrity of the assembly.

  • Patent number: 4574354
Abstract: An apparatus for time aligning data acquired by one test instrument with corresponding data acquired by another test instrument is disclosed. A set of binary codes, representative of a set of instructions executed by a microprocessor disposed within a user's prototype circuit, are acquired by said one test instrument. With the acquisition of each of said binary codes, a count is developed in a counter indicative of each said acquisition. A multitude of binary data is acquired, independently of the acquisition of the set of binary codes, by said another test instrument, the multitude of binary data being representative of the functions performed by a set of components present within said user's prototype circuit. The binary codes acquired by said one test instrument and the binary data acquired by said another test instrument each have associated therewith a count developed from said counter.
