  • Patent number: 12358276
Abstract: Examples include a cylinder for aligning magnetic or magnetizable particles contained in a coating agent on a substrate. In the region of the outer circumference of the cylinder, in a matrix-like manner, a number of magnetic elements that provide magnetic fields are arranged in n rows extending in an axially parallel manner and in m columns extending in the circumferential direction. Additionally, suction elements with suction openings pointing outwards are also arranged in the circumferential region. A plurality or all of the magnetic elements are arranged one behind the other and are each combined with at least one assigned suction element in respective modular units as action units in a plurality or all of the columns of magnetic elements. The action units can be positioned in each case independently of the other action units in the circumferential direction and/or can be detached from the cylinder.

  • Publication number: 20250170818
Abstract: Examples include a device for aligning magnetic or magnetizable particles contained in a coating agent applied to one side of a web-format or sheet-format substrate. An alignment device comprises one or more magnetic elements that, during normal operation, are fixed to a frame at the transport path and, in a working position, enter into magnetic interaction with magnetic or magnetizable particles on the substrate guided past the device along the transport path. The one or more magnetic elements are arranged at a carrier that extends transversely to the transport direction over a working width provided for processing the substrate. The carrier is mounted, on both sides, in or at a respective guide and can be moved in or at the guide, together with the one or more magnetic elements, along a movement path from the working position into a makeready position.

  • Publication number: 20250158490
Abstract: An electric motor includes an angle sensor, and the angle sensor includes a main body, a hood part, a holding part, a first circuit board, an intermediate flange, a second circuit board, a disk part, e.g., with a dimensional scale, and a hollow shaft. The rotor shaft of the angle sensor is connected to a rotor of the electric motor for conjoint rotation. The disc part is slid onto the hollow shaft and bears against a shaft step and/or a flat surface region of the hollow shaft. The second circuit board has conducting tracks acting and/or formed as coil winding and is held clamped between the main body and the intermediate flange. The intermediate flange is pressed towards the main body by the screw head of another screw screwed into a threaded bore of the main body. The first circuit board is held clamped between the intermediate flange and the holding part.

  • Publication number: 20250154634
Abstract: A stainless steel formulation and fabrication of various hydraulic fracturing pump components using the stainless steel formulation is disclosed. The stainless steel formulation provides for a relatively high martensitic grain structure, which provides for high strength and durability, high wear tolerance, high chemical tolerance, and high hardness. Thus, pumps and/or pump components fabricated with the stainless steel formulation may have greater lifetimes than pumps and/or pump components fabricated from conventional materials. The stainless steel formulation also includes relatively wide ranges and tolerances of constituent elements. The wide tolerances enable and/or ease the use of scrap metals in formulating the stainless steel formulation, which provides for cost and environmental benefits. Pump components, such as a fluid end assembly, may be fabricated using the stainless steel formulation to realize usable lifetime, cost, and/or environmental advantages.

  • Publication number: 20250108600
Abstract: Examples include a printing unit having a forme cylinder, an impression cylinder, and a frame having two frame side walls located opposite one another. Two base modules each have respective base side walls that are an integral with the respective frame side walls. Each base module has four installation areas for rotational transport bodies, the relative positions of which coincide. Respective first two installation areas along a transport path form a selection group of each respective base module. The impression cylinder forms a printing nip with the forme cylinder. A rotational transport body is arranged in each installation area and a print head at a non-impact printing position is aligned with a rotational transport body arranged in an installation area of the first base module. Additionally, a print head of the non-impact printing position is aligned with a rotational transport body in an installation area of the second base module.

  • Publication number: 20250111166
Abstract: In an approach for assisting a user to remain focused on a task, a processor collects a plurality of information regarding one or more digital activities of a user. A processor tokenizes the plurality of information into one or more vectorized embeddings. Responsive to determining that the user has engaged a focus mode, a processor intercepts one or more communications. A processor synthesizes, utilizing a large language model and the one or more vectorized embeddings, one or more natural language responses to the one or more communications. A processor transmits the one or more natural language responses to one or more originating users of the one or more communications. Responsive to determining that the user has ended the focus mode, a processor displays a summary of the one or more communications and the one or more natural language responses transmitted while the user was in the focus mode.
