  • Publication number: 20240008612
Abstract: An antenna package, comprising an antenna and a protective enclosure for the antenna, the enclosure comprising a case element and at least one guard element and at least one handle attached to the case element. The antenna is secured inside the case element. The enclosure can also comprise mounting hardware for mounting the antenna. The enclosure has at least one connector for the antenna, and, in some embodiments, has a connector protector element configured to protect the connector from damage. The enclosure can be any suitable size or shape. In some embodiments, guard elements and/or handles can be omitted or be removable. The antenna package is suitable for temporary installation and for repeated installation and deinstallation. A transport unit for securing the protective enclosure during transport is also disclosed. In some embodiments, the transport unit is modifiable by a user.

  • Publication number: 20210218144
Abstract: Systems relating to antennas. Antenna elements are coupled to adjacent other antenna elements by way of a coupler. The coupled antenna elements may be part of the same antenna array. The coupler may take the form of a substrate with conductive traces and the antenna elements may be dipoles or crossed dipole antennas. The coupled antenna elements may have similar polarizations. The capacitive coupling allows for physically smaller reflectors for antenna arrays.

  • Patent number: 8609579
Abstract: A composition capable of radiation activated catalysis is provided. The composition comprises a metal compound, a mercapto compound and an olefinic compound. Radiation curable urethane compositions comprising the disclosed composition are also provided. The radiation curable urethane compositions comprise the disclosed composition, a hydroxyl compound and an isocyanate compound. Activation of the composition by radiation in a urethane formulation provides for an efficient method of curing the urethane composition. Coating and adhesive compositions comprising the radiation curable urethane compositions are also provided. In addition, methods for coating and bonding substrates are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6673851
Abstract: Self-photoinitiating liquid oligomeric compositions having tertiary amine groups are provided by Michael Addition reaction of: A) an uncrosslinked Michael Addition reaction product of a multifunctional acrylate acceptor and a Michael Donor; and B) a primary and/or secondary amine. The compositions can be crosslinked to make coatings, laminates and adhesives.

  • Publication number: 20030048996
Abstract: A method and apparatus for securing an optical fiber to a structure and an appropriate strain relief boot to the optical fiber as well as to the structure is disclosed. A channel is formed proximate to an opening in a wall surface of the structure. The fiber is inserted into a passage in a compressible ferrule sized to accommodate the fiber and having a lip around its body and a strain relief boot is slid over one longitudinal end of the fiber to cover the lip. The ferrule and boot are inserted into a channel sized to accommodate the ferrule in a friction fit. The ferrule is cylindrical in shape and has one or more passages through it, aligned along the longitudinal axis of the cylinder. A slot extends the length of the ferrule between its outer surface and a passage proximate thereto. Slots may interconnect passages. The diameter along which the slots extend terminate in notches which narrow the ferrule width along this direction.

  • Patent number: 5331232
Abstract: A system and method for verifying the positional integrity of a robotic arm are disclosed. The robotic arm includes a servo mechanism which causes movement of the arm. The servo mechanism has a position encoder which indicates the relative position of the robotic arm with respect to a fixed reference point. A flag is attached to the robotic arm. A sensor for detecting the flag is attached to a point which is fixed with respect to the motion of the robotic arm. The sensor is located at a point such that the flag will pass by the sensor during the normal course of travel of the robotic arm. Each time the flag passes by the sensor, the sensor generates a signal. A controller which is coupled to the position encoder and to the sensor compares the position of the robotic device indicated by the position encoder at the time the sensor detects the presence of the flag with a predetermined value.

  • Patent number: 4889982
Abstract: An encoded label for a magnetic tape cartridge includes a substrate having an obverse side and a reverse side. The reverse side is adapted to be affixed to the magnetic tape cartridge, while the obverse side has pre-printed thereon at least two redundant indicators for identifying the magnetic tape cartridge to which the label is affixed. Each of the indicators include a plurality of characters, but the characters of one such indicator are scrambled with respect to the characters of the other indicator, thereby permitting accurate identification of the magnetic tape cartridge by an optical scanner in spite of the label's having a substantial portion missing or obliterated.
