  • Patent number: 11919029
Abstract: A pressurized construction adhesive applicator system is provided that is able to apply adhesive to vertical surfaces without foaming, solvents, or resort to mechanical pumps. The pressurized construction adhesive applicator system including a canister having a volume, a one- part curable construction adhesive in the volume a lid forming a seal with said canister, an applicator wand having a trigger in fluid communication with the one-part curable construction adhesive via a tube, and a pressurant in the volume in an amount sufficient to urge the one-part curable construction adhesive from the volume and out of a nozzle of the applicator as a bead with depression of the trigger.

  • Patent number: 11111420
Abstract: An adhesive formulation is provided that is a waterborne bonding adhesive for adhering sheet membranes that may incorporate a solid plasticizer. The formulation is fast-curing and develops bond strength rapidly after application to a substrate as the adhesive dries, when the sheet membrane is mated to the substrate. The fast-curing characteristic is important to ensure the membrane is not displaced from the surface in windy exterior applications. The adhesive is formulated to form the bond between sheet membranes to substrates that illustratively include, steel, wood, concrete, roof boards, insulation, and fiberglass mat roof boards.

  • Publication number: 20190366366
Abstract: A structural moisture-cured polyurethane adhesive is provided in a pressurized container (60) that is formulated to meet the structural requirements of wall and floor construction for the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industry, and is designed to bond flooring to joists, wallboard to stud and header framing, as well as other structural applications. The pressurized container (60) allows for adhesive application on horizontal and vertical surfaces without any outside pumps or motors. The pressurized container (60) is portable and may be moved around the structure and/or manufacturing plant. The pressurized container (60) has a hose (64) and applicator gun (20) attached to it, where a trigger (42) on the gun (20) is depressed to dispense the adhesive. The adhesive flows consistently from the pressurized container (60), and the gun (20) is adjustable to regulate bead size for consistent placement of a bed of adhesive, which is an improvement over manual operated caulking guns.

  • Publication number: 20100326598
Abstract: Adhesive compositions formulated with blends of styrene-isoprene-styrene block copolymers and hydrocarbon resins are provided. Also provided are methods for bonding substrates, including roofing membranes, using the adhesive compositions. The adhesive compositions are characterized by high solids contents, low viscosities and improved bonding characteristics, including high peel strengths when adhered to roofing membranes, such as thermoplastic polyolefin (“TPO”) membranes.

  • Publication number: 20090308946
Abstract: A system is provided for spraying a material, the system comprising: a canister having a first threaded fitting in fluid communication with a valve seal; a dip tube extending from the valve seal into the canister; an adaptor having a second threaded fitting that mates with the threads of the first threaded fitting and an adaptor tube; and, a nozzle in fluid communication with the adaptor; wherein the adaptor tube interacts with the valve seal to move the valve into an open position, thereby establishing a continuous flow path from the canister to the nozzle through the dip tube, valve seal and adaptor tube.
