  • Patent number: 8584497
Abstract: A system is configured for forming a flange at an end of a tube. The system includes a collar configured to receive the tube. A first roller engages the collar and a second roller is configured to cooperate with the first roller to rotate the collar and the tube. A rotatable cam is disposed about the second roller and includes a cam surface configured to bend the end of the tube to thereby form the flange. The collar may be configured to restrict axial movement of the tube relative to the collar. Additionally or alternatively, the collar may be configured to restrict rotational movement of the tube relative to the collar.

  • Patent number: 8322758
Abstract: A juncture assembly is provided between first and second ends of respective first and second tubes. The assembly includes a first flange that is located at the first end and a second flange that is located at the second end, with the second flange being in confronting relationship with the first flange. The first and second flanges define a gap between them. A gasket member contacts the first and second flanges and is configured to prevent flow of fluids through the gap. A clamp member of the assembly secures the gasket member to the first and second flanges with the clamp member including a channel for receiving the first and second flanges and first and second restriction elements that extend into the channel for positioning the first and second flanges within the channel.

  • Patent number: 7523964
Abstract: A sealing gasket for a ventilation duct system includes an annular gasket body and a pair of annular sealing flanges extending radially outwardly from the gasket body. The sealing gasket has, in axial cross-section, a generally flat top wall and a curved or, alternatively, a radiused bottom wall. One of the sealing flanges is positioned adjacent one circumferential edge of the sealing gasket and the other sealing flange is positioned axially spaced from or offset from the opposite circumferential edge of the sealing gasket. The sealing gasket is provided to form a generally air-tight seal between overlapping ends of first and second components of a ventilation duct system.

  • Publication number: 20090083962
Abstract: In one embodiment, a system is provided for forming a flange at an end of a tube. The system includes a collar that is configured to surround the tube, and a first roller engaging the collar. A second roller is configured to cooperate with the first roller to rotate the collar and the tube and includes a depression configured to receive a radially inwardly protruding portion of the tube therein. A rotatable cam cooperates with the second roller and includes a cam surface configured to bend the end of the tube to thereby form the flange. The depression may be configured to restrict axial movement of the tube relative to the collar. The depression may include an annular recess that is circumferentially disposed about the second roller.
