    Abstract: The current invention utilizes a light module mounted at some distance below the crown of a rig to reduce the heat reaching the walkway. Additionally, the light module is constructed of a light source such as an LED, a reflector, a shroud, and a lens that together operate to constrain the emitted light to the rig site. Preferably the light source emits a cool blue white light of at least 4500° Kelvin and more preferably at 5200° Kelvin.
