  • Publication number: 20060185938
Abstract: A hand-actuated operating device for an operator's control unit for an industrial truck, having a stationary, raised rest for the ball of the thumb that is disposed laterally beside and in front of the standing or sitting operator, including an upper support area on which the ball of the thumb of the operator's hand is adapted to be placed from top, a forward surface facing away from the operator and a surface facing the operator, wherein the forward and backward surfaces are dimensioned so to allow the support for the ball of the thumb to be gripped between the fingers and a proximal portion of the ball that faces the wrist, a portion located in front of the forward surface which is lowered with respect to the support area is disposed such as to allow the fingers of the hand resting on the support area to be placed at an angle, and at least one control element for a function of the industrial truck is disposed on the end of the lowered portion that is located opposite the support area so as to enable its act

  • Publication number: 20060037790
Abstract: An industrial truck having a steering wheel (14) which can be rotated about a steering wheel axis of rotation (18), the steering wheel axis of rotation (18) being rotated a predetermined angle of rotation (?) with respect to an imaginary plane (LME), which is orthogonal with respect to a standing area for the industrial truck, passes through a driver's platform (12) and extends in the longitudinal direction of the industrial truck, about a rotational axis (20) which is essentially orthogonal with respect to the standing area and lies on the imaginary plane, is characterized in that the steering wheel axis of rotation (18) is rotated away from the driver, the rotational axis (20) being positioned in the forward travel direction (VF) of the industrial truck, when viewed from the driver's platform (12).

  • Publication number: 20050150708
Abstract: A steering arm for a walkie/rider truck which has a truck body, a driving motor and load bearing means, a platform for the operator and a steering rod. Button portions extend adjacent both lateral surfaces of the horn of a steering above the grip portions and extend approximately parallel to the lateral surfaces and are supported for pivoting movement approximately about horizontal axes. The button portions are arranged such that they can be actuated by the thumb or the index finger of the hand engaging the associated grip portion.

  • Publication number: 20050098375
Abstract: A drawbar for power-operated industrial trucks with a drawbar handle which can be pivoted about a horizontal axis in a large angular range between an approximately upright position and a position inclined obliquely to vertical. The drawbar includes a drawbar head arranged at a free end of the drawbar handle, the head including a horn arranged in the extension of the drawbar handle, rod-like grips extending on both sides of the horn and approximately transversely thereto that are connected to carrier sections connected to the horn on both sides via arm sections attached to the end of a grip. The arm and carrier sections form a protective yoke with grip openings and at least one control element for a function of the industrial truck on one grip opening is arranged in the vicinity of the associated carrier section, such that it can be actuated from above by pressure from one finger, even when the hand grasps the rod-like grip facing it.

  • Publication number: 20040099086
Abstract: A pole for a hand pallet truck comprising a pole bar linked to a support for a steerable wheel at its lower end and connected to a loop-shaped handle at the other end, the handle being centrally grippable at its rear end, an operating device within the handle, the operating device being attached to a holding extension projecting into the handle in prolongation of the bar, and being connectable to a lifting apparatus of the hand pallet truck via a traction and/or pushing element, wherein an operating lever is disposed on either side of the extension, the operating levers being pivotally mounted on the holding extension in a plane defined by the handle, wherein both operating levers act on a common displacement element connected to the traction or pushing element such that pulling the operating levers out of a neutral position away from the pole bar causes a lowering operation and pushing the operating levers out of the neutral position towards the pole bar allows a lifting operation of the lifting apparatus, a

  • Patent number: 6564906
Abstract: There is disclosed a pickup-and-delivery vehicle having a controllable travel mechanism, which has a load-carrying means movable vertically on a lifting framework, a driver's cab movable vertically on the lifting framework together with the load-carrying means and an operating panel to be operated from the driver's cab. Separate function regions of the operating panel are designed as modules separable from one another, of which at least one in the access region of the driver's cab is repositionable between at least two operating positions from one side of the driver's cab to another side of the driver's cab and is capable of functional use in each of these operating positions.

  • Patent number: 6398480
Abstract: The invention relates to a fork-lift truck including a vehicle body which has rear wheels and a lift frame for load-carrying means, and including a wheel bearing means. For an increase in stability in standing of the fork-lift truck, a shifting or pivoting device interacting with the vehicle body is provided, which moves the wheel bearing means with respect to the vehicle body while varying the axle base and the distance of the load center from the front wheel.

  • Patent number: 6125971
Abstract: A forklift truck which includes a chassis (10) and a housing (12). Two parallel spaced wheel arms are attached to the chassis. The housing includes a battery-operated driving motor as well as a hydraulic lift. A pole (16) including control means for the control of said motor and said hydraulic lift is connected to a stand (203), the stand being rotatably mounted about a vertical axis and connected to a driving wheel (202). A monomast (20) is arranged centrally between the wheel arms and integral with the housing, the monomast have front and back sides, the back side facing the pole. A carriage (22) for a load fork is attached to the hydraulic lift. A box-shaped cover is attached to the back side of the monomast, and the pole is arranged asymmetrically with respect to the monomast.
