  • Patent number: 9036924
Abstract: Method for classifying a two- or higher dimensional image, where each pixel is associated with M property measures, includes identifying firstly a certain predetermined, variable geometric structure, the extension of which in at least two of the N dimensions in the dataset is determined in relation to a single element in the dataset and by at least one variable parameter, and secondly at least one geometric measure associated with the variable geometric structure, which geometric measure is arranged to measure a geometric property of a specific geometric structure in relation to other specific such geometric structures, and in that a main classification is conducted of the dataset, which main classification is based upon a comparative measure between the respective sets of associated geometric measures of two elements, calculated from a respective maximal geometric structure for each element.

  • Patent number: 8781216
Abstract: The method is characterized in that the method comprises the steps that a computer or several interconnected computers are caused to a) store, in the form of a pixel set in which set each pixel is associated with image information in at least one channel for light intensity, a first image to be classified onto a digital storage medium; b) carry out a first classification of the image, which classification is caused to be based upon the image information of each respective pixel and which classification is caused to associate each pixel with a certain class in a first set of classes, and to store these associations in a first database; c) calculate, for each pixel and for several classes in the first set of classes, the smallest distance in the image between the pixel in question and the closest pixel which is associated with the class in question in the database, and to store an association between each pixel and the calculated smallest distance for the pixel in a second database for each class for which a di

  • Patent number: 8694295
Abstract: A system and method for time virtualization, comprising a time virtualizer running on a first digital computer and adapted to intercept time-dependent requests from a plurality of applications executing on the first or another digital computer, wherein on intercepting a time-dependent request from an application, the time virtualizer returns an expected result to the requesting application comprising a virtual time rather than a clock time, the virtualized time being established by the time virtualizer and differing from the clock time, is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 8437714
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the efficient transmission of voice and data signals using mobile terminals, and in particular to optimizing the power added efficiency (PAE) of a power amplifier (PA) by controlling the amplifier's load impedance over a range of radio frequency (RF) output power levels. A power amplifier having a first power level and at least a second power level is provided along with a first impedance matching network section with an output. A second impedance matching network section and at least a third impedance network section in communication with the output are selectably coupled to a load network by switches that are opened and close in response to various power levels of operation for the load switch circuit.

  • Publication number: 20110186527
Abstract: When, according to the invention, an oil separator (1) is configured with a core of lengths of pipe (4) extending in parallel, and an oil-containing agent (5) is conveyed through these channels (3) in the pipes (4), the oil molecules will settle as an oil coating (6) on the channel walls. At some point, the pressure of the medium will increase, when the flow is reduced, whereby the oil will be pressed out of the pipes (4). Then, upon settling, the oil separation will be resumed, and the separated oil (6) may be collected, while the agent (12) cleaned of oil may be reused and, following reuse, be fed to the cleaning system and its oil separator.

  • Publication number: 20060255259
Abstract: The invention relates to acquisition methods for fragment ion spectra of biopolymer molecules in tandem mass spectrometers which are coupled to separation devices. The invention provides a real-time method for calculating a quality coefficient for each fragment ion spectrum. The quality coefficient indicates whether the fragment ion spectrum can be used successfully for identifying the biopolymer molecule or whether it should be acquired once more, possibly with other acquisition parameters.

  • Publication number: 20050027858
Abstract: A method and a computer program product for measuring and monitoring performance in a computer network environment that includes multiple clients and one or more servers providing one or more services is disclosed. The method includes monitoring the performance at each client based on true requests send to the servers over a network connection. The performance at each client is collected at a performance monitor database, where the collected performance data can be extracted to yield the performance of e.g. specific servers or services towards a specific client or a group of clients or the performance of a connection between a server and a client. The system performance is thereby measured at the clients where the system performance is actually utilized. The present invention thereby provides a more realistic scenario of the actual system performance than prior art systems based on monitoring server performance at the servers or through simulated clients.
