  • Publication number: 20230008214
Abstract: A device is described for delivering a therapeutic vibration to a body. The device may include at least two motors in a housing with unbalanced masses coupled to their axles, such that vibration of the masses causes the two motors and housing to vibrate at a beat frequency 80. The motors and housing may be coupled to the body via a platform which places the motors and housings at or near a resonant structure in the body, creating a coupled oscillation between the platform and the body. The vibration may be based on the input signal, such that the system applies the vibration based on the input signal to the user, wherein the signal may be an audio or video signal. The system may be configured to measure and manipulate the flow of cerebral spinal fluid.

  • Publication number: 20220117837
Abstract: A device is described which can measure changes in cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) pressure as a function of body tilt, with an added feature of delivering particular vibrations to a body. By measuring changes in CSF pressure with tilt, one can determine, among other things, a body's ability to regulate CSF pressure. In addition, when coupled with the delivery of therapeutic vibration to a body, an improvement in CSF pressure regulation and patency can be established.

  • Publication number: 20120298738
Abstract: Cards with geometrically defined card use and mechanics are disclosed. In some embodiments, a card includes a device interface zone, in which the device interface zone includes an embedded code; and a user interface zone, in which the user interface zone is for a user to hold the card. In some embodiments, the card further includes a user device bridge, in which the user device bridge connects the device interface zone and the user interface zone (e.g., including an electrical interconnection path between the device interface zone and the user interface zone). In some embodiments, the user device bridge is relatively more flexible than the device interface zone, which facilitates a user holding the card by the user interface zone and placing the card in flush contact with a capacitive screen of a touch screen device for effectively and accurately reading the embedded code on the card (e.g., printed codes).

  • Publication number: 20070251648
Abstract: An on/off reversible adhesive mechanism, and method for fabricating same. The adhesive mechanism is a hierarchical system comprised of a micro-scale compliant surface having one or more nano-structures thereon, wherein the compliant surface is moved by applying a magnetic field either to engage the nano-structures with an adhering surface or to remove the nano-structures from the adhering surface.
