  • Publication number: 20130035079
Abstract: A method and system for establishing data communications channels between users is disclosed. These data communications channels may be used for file transferring, internet collaborations, etc. In one embodiment, a data communications channel is automatically established between two user devices upon the establishment of a voice communications channel between communications devices associated with said user devices. In this embodiment, the data communications channel is set up without any additional input from the user. In another embodiment, a data communications channel is used to transfer files between user communication devices. The method and systems of the invention may use unique identifiers to establish the data communications channels. In the event that the communications devices are telephones, a user's telephone number may comprise at least part of the unique identifier. In one embodiment, only the telephone number of another user is needed to establish the data communications channel.

  • Patent number: 7743149
Abstract: Modifications to SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) are made which significantly extend the functionality of SIP. SIP messages are associated with computer software code such as Java byte code, Java applets or mobile autonomous software agents. SIP clients are arranged such that on receipt of a SIP message that has been associated with computer software code, that code is executed by a processor associated with the SIP client. In the case that Java applets are contained in a SIP message these are executed by a Java Virtual Machine associated with the SIP client. If a Java mobile agent is contained in the SIP message this executes on a Java Mobile Agent Virtual Machine associated with the SIP client. Preferably an indicator is put into the header of a SIP message to indicate that it has been associated with computer software code, and SIP clients are arranged to detect the presence of such indicators.

  • Patent number: 7050861
Abstract: A caller associates computer software code with a signalling protocol messages such that when the messages are received at a destination processor the computer software code is executed. For example, the messages may be improved SIP protocol messages with incorporated Java code. By selecting different computer software code for association with the messages, the caller is able to control the destination terminal. For example, to display information about the identity of the caller at the destination terminal; to modify the behaviour of the destination terminal according to the priority of the call; to take into account the configuration of the destination terminal, and to allow users to adjust this configuration from a remote location.

  • Publication number: 20060029544
Abstract: The present invention provides novel receptor-binding cyclic peptides that advantageously display high receptor binding affinity and selectively. More particularly, the present invention provides integrin-binding cyclic peptides containing an integrin-binding motif such as an RGD motif, an aromatic amino acid such as a tyrosine residue, and a lysine residue having a pi-pi stacking moiety conjugated to its ?-amino group. Methods for identifying receptor-binding cyclic peptides and for using the cyclic peptides of the present invention for imaging a tumor, organ, or tissue and for treating cancer, inflammatory diseases, and autoimmune diseases are also provided.
