Abstract: A device is described that provides for securing a lacrosse mesh to the head of a lacrosse stick without needing to use complicated knots of attachment strings. In one example of the device of the present invention, an attachment portion and a base, which has a receptacle, are provided to connect lacrosse mesh to the head of a lacrosse stick. The attachment portion may contact and apply pressure to a string linked to a portion of the mesh. The attachment portion may also be removably connected to the base to secure a length of the string in the receptacle, which may connect the lacrosse mesh linked to the string to the head of the lacrosse stick by way of the device. The device may be temporarily or permanently linked to the head of the lacrosse stick.

Abstract: A vehicle may operate in a first mode in which rear traction members of the vehicle are driven forwardly by an electric motor and a hydraulic pump is powered and may alternatively operate in a second mode in which the rear traction members are driven forwardly by the electric motor while the electric motor is operably decoupled from the hydraulic pump. A controller determines a state of an implement attached to the vehicle, a present or forthcoming turning state of the vehicle, a geo-referenced location of the vehicle, a slip of the vehicle, and/or a camera captured image of terrain. The controller outputs a recommendation for either the first mode or the second mode based upon the determination or automatically switches between the first mode and the second mode based on the determination.

Abstract: A rotor component for a rotary x-ray anode has a carrier body and a spray coating. The carrier body is made from one of the following materials a refractory metal, a refractory metal-based alloy, iron, an iron-based alloy or combinations thereof, and the spray coating contains copper or a copper-based alloy. The carrier body is materially bonded to the spray coating at least in sections at a connecting surface. The rotor component is characterized in that the microstructure of the rotor component has no transition region at the connecting surface between the carrier body and the spray coating.

In some embodiments, a longitudinal extension can be added to a primary fixation construct to extend the construct to one or more additional vertebral levels. The extension can be attached to a first attachment point, such as a spinous process of a vertebra that is superior to the primary construct. The extension can also be attached to a second attachment point, such as a component of the primary construct or an anatomical structure disposed inferior to the first attachment point. The extension can be more flexible than the primary construct and/or can limit motion to a lesser degree than the primary construct, thereby providing a more-gradual transition from the instrumented vertebrae to the natural patient anatomy adjacent thereto. The extension can be placed with little or no soft tissue disruption.

Abstract: The exemplary embodiments provide chromatography column positioning assemblies that can ensure that the distance between face seals or other sealing surfaces/mechanisms at the respective ends of a liquid chromatography column is a desired distance (i.e., the length of the liquid chromatography column). The exemplary embodiments can adjust the separation between the face seals to accommodate different length liquid chromatography columns. For example, a chromatography column positioning assembly of an exemplary embodiment can set the distance between face seals to accommodate a 25 mm column, a 50 mm column or a 100 mm column.

A device includes an intrauterine portion coupled to or integrally formed with a cervical portion. A bladder may be disposed within an outer body and configured to receive fluid to be deployed. The outer body defines suction openings, and patient fluid may be suctioned through a volume defined between the bladder and the outer body. The device may include one or more spacing features or struts to maintain the volume. A distal cap may facilitate distal expansion for the intrauterine portion to engage the fundus of the uterus. A cervical portion may be deployed to an expanded configuration within the cervix. The system may include a conduit defining at least three fluid pathways, a connector, and a control hub configured to be coupled to the device or the conduit via a connector.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a lockable rooftop carrier clamp having a housing with a bore for accepting a frusto-conically shaped locking post. At least one, and preferably a pair of bolts are biased inwardly into the bore to capture the locking post. The bolts can be moved transversely outwardly by a cam on the outside wall of a hollow rotor located in the bore for pivotal rotation about an axis defined by the bore. The pivoting of the rotor is only allowed by the proper orientation of a tumbler core in a tumbler lock, which then allows either rotation of a release lever or retraction of a locking pin.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining, using at least one processing device of an electronic device, a sequence of images of a scene. The method also includes performing, using the at least one processing device, instance segmentation of the sequence of images to generate a sequence of segmented images. Performing the instance segmentation includes (i) segmenting each of the images into semantic classes and (ii) separately identifying two or more objects in the scene associated with a common semantic class, where different semantic classes are associated with different types of image contents. The method further includes processing, using the at least one processing device, the sequence of segmented images to generate a final image of the scene. The sequence of segmented images is processed using one or more image processing operations determined using a natural language processing (NLP) engine.

The filter separate the housing into a region upstream of the filter comprising an aperture, and a region downstream of the filter comprising an aperture. The heater extends into the interior region. The hose fittings are each coincident with an aperture and are formed of a material having a high thermal conductivity. The heat bridge is formed of a material having a high thermal conductivity and thermally connects the heater to the hose fittings. The insulators each are formed of a material having a low thermal conductivity, and each at least partially cover a hose fitting.

The operational modes may be in an emergency lighting mode and a nightlight mode. The voltage source can be connected to a light source or sensor through the control circuit or the switch, and the light source may be activated based on the output of the sensor. A controller is connected to the sensor and can send or receive wireless signals through a wireless module.
