  • Patent number: 9683510
Abstract: A fuel control system according to the principles of the present disclosure includes a parameter determination module, a parameter learning module, and an injector driver module. The parameter determination module determines a parameter of a fuel injector in an engine at an operating condition of the engine. The parameter learning module identifies index values in a table based on the engine operating condition and adjusts learned values of the fuel injector parameter corresponding to the index values based on the determined value of the fuel injector parameter. The injector driver module selectively applies power to the fuel injector based on the learned values.

  • Patent number: 9684455
Abstract: A method for providing efficient processing for many concurrent streams of sequential I/O requests is provided. In response to receiving an I/O request, the method includes determining if the I/O request corresponds to an active stream. If the request corresponds to an active stream, then the method includes updating an existing active list entry of an active list corresponding to the active stream, and if the I/O request does not correspond to an active stream, then instead converting and configuring an inactive list entry of an inactive list into a new active list entry. The inactive list stores available but unallocated resources, and the active list stores allocated resources. The active list includes a head at one end of the active list and a tail at an opposite end. The active list head corresponds to a most recently used entry, and the tail corresponds to a least recently used entry.

  • Patent number: 9683426
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present invention are directed to a distributed inflow control device that can be disposed in a wellbore through a fluid-producing formation. The distributed inflow control includes a shroud that can be disposed in the fluid-producing formation. The shroud circumferentially covers a section of a tubing string. The shroud includes a profile having multiple flow paths between the fluid-producing formation and an inner volume of the section of the tubing string. Each flow path restricts a fluid flow through the flow path and is independent of each other flow path. The distributed inflow control device also includes a seal over the profile including the flow paths. The seal causes fluid to flow from an inlet to an outlet of each flow path and prevents fluid from entering or exiting each flow path at a point other than the respective inlet or the respective outlet.

  • Patent number: 9686374
Abstract: A system and method for provisioning dynamically generated content. One embodiment can interface a content delivery system and a content management system at the fragment level. Depending upon how a page is organized, a fragment may refer to a block within the page, a portion of the page, or a content item presented on the page. When a content item is updated and published onto the content management system, one embodiment can operate to track dependencies of managed pages and invalidate/validate fragment(s) affected by the change(s) accordingly. The updated fragment(s) may then be dynamically assembled on-the-fly or on-demand. The updated fragment(s) may or may not be cached. In this way, changes made to a piece of content can be reflected in all pages which utilize this content almost simultaneously with the changes to the content itself.

  • Patent number: 9686853
Abstract: A method comprises applying an adhesive to a first substrate and a second substrate to secure the first substrate to the second substrate. The adhesive extends in a plane on one side of an interposer that also extends in the plane, and is contiguous with the adhesive. The interposer comprises openings to enable flow of adhesive through the openings to form adhesive bond areas on one of the substrates where the areas substantially conform to the openings and lie adjacent to adhesive free areas. The adhesive substantially covers the other of the substrates so that the bond areas produce regions of reduced adhesive strength to the one substrate compared to the bond strength of the adhesive to the other substrate. Adjusting opening sizes adjusts area bond strengths. One substrate may comprise a VTM, the other a heat spreader, and the adhesive, a TIM. An article of manufacture comprises the substrate-adhesive-interposer-adhesive-substrate layers.
