  • Publication number: 20240375922
Abstract: According to an aspect of the present disclosure, a locking turnplate includes a cylinder body having a cylinder chamber. A piston is received in the cylinder chamber and a mid-plate is disposed above the cylinder chamber of the cylinder body. A top plate is supported above the mid-plate by a bearing assembly including a plurality of spaced ball bearings. A bushing is fixedly attached to the top plate and extends through an aperture in the mid-plate. The bushing includes a flange that engages a bottom shoulder of an aperture of the cylinder body, wherein applying a pressure to the cylinder chamber presses the piston toward the mid plate and causes the cylinder body to pull downward on the bushing and the top plate in order to compress the ball bearings and prevent the top plate from moving relative to the mid plate.

  • Publication number: 20240380704
Abstract: A method for attenuating performance degradation of an IEEE 802.1 hybrid wired/wireless time sensitive network (TSN) in terms of time synchronization and quality of service (QOS) scheduling. The method makes it possible to attenuate the impact of clock drift on AS and the impact of clock jump on Qbv scheduling. The method comprises two mechanisms that consist (i) in grouping together the nodes of the network into subdomains and assigning a redundant grandmaster per subdomain; and (ii) in coordinating the TSN switches of a subdomain before applying corrected Qbv scheduling.

  • Publication number: 20240375147
Abstract: A vibratory screening machine includes replaceable screen assemblies. Compression mechanisms are used to secure replaceable screen assemblies to the vibratory screening machine. Each compression mechanism applies a force to a replaceable screen assembly that includes both a horizontal component and a downward vertical component. Each replaceable screen assembly is typically substantially flat prior to installation on a vibratory screening machine. The force applied to a screen assembly by one or more compression mechanisms causes the screen assembly to be pushed into engagement with underlying concave support members such that the screen assembly itself assumes a concave shape with the center of the screen assembly being lower than the side edges. The vertical downward component of the force helps to secure the screen assembly to the screening machine.

  • Publication number: 20240376882
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate generally to certain types of reciprocating positive-displacement pumps (which may be referred to hereinafter as “pods,” “pump pods,” or “pod pumps”) used to pump fluids, such as a biological fluid (e.g., blood or peritoneal fluid), a therapeutic fluid (e.g., a medication solution), or a surfactant fluid. The pumps may be configured specifically to impart low shear forces and low turbulence on the fluid as the fluid is pumped from an inlet to an outlet. Such pumps may be particularly useful in pumping fluids that may be damaged by such shear forces (e.g., blood, and particularly heated blood, which is prone to hemolysis) or turbulence (e.g., surfactants or other fluids that may foam or otherwise be damaged or become unstable in the presence of turbulence).
