  • Publication number: 20240123379
Abstract: A device and system for purifying a fluid is provided. The system includes a tank having an interior space and a media container disposed within the interior space. A valve is provided that cooperates with an element within the interior, the valve being movable between an open and a closed position. The valve being biased to the open position when the element is not positioned within the interior space, wherein the interior space is fluidly coupled to the atmosphere in the open position. The valve further being configured to move to a closed position when the element is positioned within the interior space.

  • Publication number: 20240073282
Abstract: Systems and methods of diagnosing a communication system within an industrial machine. The method includes receiving, from the industrial machine, communication system data of the communication system of the industrial machine and determining whether the received communication system data indicates an occurrence of a communication system issue. The method further includes determining whether the received communication system data includes one or more dismissive parameters in response to determining that the received communication system data indicates the occurrence of the communication system issue. The method also includes analyzing the received communication system data to determine whether a remote resolution to the communication system issue is available and transmitting the remote resolution to a user associated with the industrial machine in response to determining that the remote resolution to the communication system issue is available.

  • Patent number: 6026903
Abstract: A bidirectional disappearing plug member and plug assembly is capable of blocking pressurized fluid flow from opposing axial directions in a flowbore. In a preferred embodiment, the plug member, which blocks flow through the flowbore, may be readily and at least partially dissolved through the application of at least one pressurization and depressurization within a tubing string above the plug assembly. Construction of the plug assembly permits the plug member to be conveniently emplaced in a fluid-filled wellbore by permitting fluid flow around the plug member during the emplacement process. The plug member may then be secured within the plug assembly to block fluid flow from either axial direction.

  • Patent number: 4744160
Abstract: A steam pressing machine comprising a perforated steam platen and means for pre-heating the platen, e.g., an electric heater, is improved by providing it with a source of superheated steam for ejection out of the platen, rather than saturated steam. This allows the use of lower platen temperatures, and, therefore, lower fabric temperatures. Pressing is faster, because the fabric takes less time to cool, and nap-crushing and shining are less of a problem.

  • Patent number: 4427395
Abstract: The novel method comprises (1) producing in one major surface of a metal masking plate an array of substantially-parallel grooves separated by ridges of plate metal, (2) producing in the other of said major surfaces an array of generally rectangular-shaped depressions opposite the grooves and extending only partially through the plate and less than the distances required to connect to said grooves, (3) filling the grooves with an electrically-insulating material, (4) removing the ridges of metal down to depths to connect with the depressions, thereby producing an array of substantially-rectangular apertures through the plate and electrically-insulating strips across the apertures and (5) covering selected surface portions of the electrically-insulating material with an electrically-conducting material. Before step (3), the surface of the grooves are coated with a resistive or semiconductive material, such as black iron oxide.
