    Abstract: A carrier patch for delivering agents locally to the skin or systemically via the skin. The patch comprises a pad having a lower surface area to which an adhesive is adhered, and a primary agent applied to discrete regions of the patch in a manner to minimize the deleterious effects of the adhesive on the primary agent. The invention further comprises a method for the discrete application of the agent to the patch, and a method of using the patch for the delivery of the agent to the skin.
