Patent number: 7046789Abstract: A relationship call center management system and method is used in a call center by a call center manager or supervisor. The relationship management system and method permits call center resources to be grouped into relationship profiles. A relationship key field corresponding to the relationship profiles is then used to organize and display statistics within the call center. A strategy and action management system and method permits the user to build customized actions and to create strategy profiles including one or more user-defined goal thresholds and assigned actions to take place when the goal thresholds are met. A statistics display system presents the call center statistics in different user-defined views, for example, corresponding to one of the relationship profiles. The statistics display system also monitors the statistics and provides an indication to the user when the user-defined goal thresholds have not been met.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1999Date of Patent: May 16, 2006Assignee: Aspect Software, InccInventors: Clare M. Anderson, Andrew J. Browne, Thomas M. Chamberlain, Robert L. Cox, Jr., Michael P. Walsh

Patent number: 6605772Abstract: Quantum-dot superlattice (QLSL) structures having improved thermoelectric properties are described. In one embodiment, PbSexTe1-x/PbTe QDSLs are provided having enhanced values of Seebeck coefficient and thermoelectric figure of merit (ZT) relative to bulk values. The structures can be combined into multi-chip devices to provide additional thermoelectric performance.Type: GrantFiled: May 24, 2001Date of Patent: August 12, 2003Assignee: Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyInventors: Theodore C. Patent number: 6452206Abstract: A superlattice structure for thermoelectric power generation includes m monolayers of a first barrier material alternating with n monolayers of a second quantum well material with a pair of monolayers defining a superlattice period and each of the materials having a relatively smooth interface therebetween. Each of the quantum well layers have a thickness which is less than the thickness of the barrier layer by an amount which causes substantial confinement of conduction carriers to the quantum well layer and the alternating layers provide a superlattice structure having a figure of merit which increases with increasing temperature.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1998Date of Patent: September 17, 2002Assignee: Massachusetts Institute of TechnologyInventors: Theodore C. Patent number: 5809483Abstract: A system for monitoring information about debt securities and reporting trades in the debt securities market. The system includes user stations and a host processor. Users input data requests and trade information to the user stations which transmit the requests and trade information to the host processor. The host processor processes information about the trades and requests for information using databases which contain various types of information about the debt securities and users. The host processor transmits processed trade information and requested information to the user stations which present the information to the users.Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 1997Date of Patent: September 15, 1998Inventors: S. Patent number: 5427198Abstract: The present invention provides an article which incorporates a jointed component, preferably a ladder, that includes a first member, a suitably aligned internal annuli, a second member, and a setting medium. The first member is formed of hollow section channel and has at least one socket in the form of a hole formed therein. The internal annuli is disposed within the first member and has opened ends aligned with the hole and splines extending within the annuli. The annuli also includes at least one angled flange disposed at one end of the annuli for receiving a portion of the setting medium. The second member is engaged within the annuli. The second member has a sealed end and is adapted to snugly fit into the socket. The setting medium is disposed between the end of the second member and the first member and between at least a portion of the interface between the second member and annuli.Type: GrantFiled: February 20, 1992Date of Patent: June 27, 1995Inventor: Michael P. Patent number: 4972087Abstract: A shipping container for transporting hazardous materials, for example toxic chemicals or low level radioactive waste materials, such as contaminated clothing worn by workers at nuclear power plants, is provided. The shipping container is a double-walled containment vessel which includes an inner container securably nesting within an outer container. Both the inner container and outer containers have thin metal walls which absorb energy from impacts by deforming. The shipping container has a port for sampling the atmosphere between the inner and outer containers in order to test for leakage of hazardous materials from the inner container. A heat shield at least partially surrounds the outer container. Wooden impact absorbers are also provided around both ends of the shipping container. The shipping container is light weight because of the relatively thin metallic walls and provides a leak-tight enclosure in which hazardous materials may be safely stored during transit to permanent disposal site.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1988Date of Patent: November 20, 1990Assignees: Transnuclear, Inc., Pullman Power Products Corp.Inventors: Tara J.
