  • Patent number: 11612858
Abstract: A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up and recovery system is provided to remove detrimental exhaust gases from the power plant exhaust and to produce and reclaim various commercial byproducts. A process includes mixing one liquid solution with a solubilizer in a mixing tank containing water to create a chemical reaction therein to produce an ionic solid compound and an alkaline liquid solution. Simultaneously directing the flue gases and the alkaline liquid solution into the wet scrubber to create a chemical reaction therein. The chemical reaction removes various detrimental exhaust gases from the flue gases and captures CO2 gases therefrom, which are chemically transferred into a newly formed sodium bicarbonate solution. The sodium bicarbonate solution exiting the wet scrubber is stored for resale or reuse in the subject process. The process uses various pathways to distribute the sodium bicarbonate for producing other byproducts.

  • Publication number: 20230050756
Abstract: An emissions clean-up process is provided to remove detrimental exhaust gases from a fossil fuel power plant and to produce and/or reclaim various useful commercial byproducts. The process includes mixing a blended liquid solution with a solubilizer in a mixing tank to create a chemical reaction therein to produce an ionic solid and an alkaline liquid solution. By mixing various blended solutions with desired solubilizers, alkaline liquids are produced which may be chemically combined to create other byproducts or sold commercially. Likewise, the alkaline liquids may be passed through a wet scrubber to create a byproduct that when chemically mixed with an acid creates desired byproducts. Other byproducts such as a sodium bicarbonate liquid solution exits the wet scrubber and is sold or used in the subject process to produce various other byproducts.

  • Publication number: 20230051352
Abstract: The subject process relates generally to producing an aqueous solution through a simple but highly effective chemical reaction. The aqueous solution is composed of a blended solution with water and an added solubilizer for the chemical reaction. The results produce an ionic solid and an alkaline liquid solution which are useful commercial products, and various applications including but not limited to use as a CO2 capture solvent.

  • Patent number: 9981220
Abstract: A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up and recovery system is provided to remove detrimental compounds/elements from the exhaust gas emitting from the power plant to protect the environment and to recover useful products from the cleaning solution. This is accomplished by directing the exhaust gas from the fossil fuel fired power plant through a single wet scrubber having a cleaning solution of a predetermined pH. The cleaning solution is composed of calcium carbonate and water. A recovery process is attached thereto to reclaim calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and carbon dioxide for reuse in the process and/or for commercial use.

  • Patent number: 9981846
Abstract: A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas conversion to syngas is provided. The exhaust gases being emitted from the power plant is normally cleaned and exhausted to the atmosphere. In the subject arrangement, the exhaust gases are directed through a wet scrubber and a reaction chamber to respectively remove sulfur and carbon dioxide. The cleaned exhaust gases are directed through an electrolysis process or a water-gas shift reactor to controllably produce extra hydrogen for use in the cleaned exhaust gas to obtain a desired ratio between the hydrogen and carbon monoxide therein. The resulting desired ratio in the exhaust gas between the hydrogen and carbon monoxide is the syngas that can be used for commercial applications.

  • Patent number: 9901876
Abstract: Reclaiming useful products for commercial use and/or to be reused in an exhaust gas clean-up system. This is accomplished by subjecting the power plant exhaust gas to the various cleaning fluids followed by reclaiming the useful products from the exiting cleaning liquid. As the exhaust gas passes through a medium of water and calcium carbonate in a wet scrubber, the exiting cleaning fluid contains various calcium salts. Likewise, as the exhaust gas passes through a medium of calcium hydroxide and water other calcium salts are produced. By passing these respective calcium salts through solid-liquid centrifuge separators and other separating stirred tanks, various useful products are reclaimed and reused in the process or commercially sold. Some useful products are carbon dioxide, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, and mercuric salts.

  • Patent number: 9833739
Abstract: A fossil fuel fired power plant exhaust gas clean-up system is provided to remove detrimental compounds/elements from the exhaust gas emitting from the power plant to protect the environment. This is accomplished primarily by directing the exhaust gas from a fossil fuel fired power plant through both a reaction chamber containing a chemically produced compound and a catalytic converter. The final exhaust gas can now be safely exhausted to the atmosphere and only contains nitrogen gas, oxygen, water and a trace amount of carbon dioxide.
