    Abstract: An oven includes a gas burner provided at a rear bottom portion of the oven and below an opening in a bottom panel of the oven. A heat exchanger is provided above the bottom panel opening such that heated air from the gas burner flows upwardly through the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger is positioned in front of a fan provided at a rear wall of the oven. The fan forces air through a plurality of openings in the heat exchanger to supply heated air to an oven cavity of the oven. The gas burner flames are substantially isolated from turbulent airflow from the fan.

    Abstract: An electromagnetic interference (EMI) shield for gas cooktops is disclosed herein. The EMI shield protects electromagnetic fields output by a high voltage spark ignition system from interfering with sensitive low voltage controls for the cooktop. Accordingly, the low voltage controls and similar elements are mounted on one side of the EMI shield and the high voltage spark ignition system, burners, and similar elements are mounted on another side of the EMI shield. In order to connect elements on each side of the EMI shield as may be necessary (e.g., electrical wires and gas tubing), the EMI shield can have a plurality of small openings. The EMI shield may also provide a mount for controls and/or a user interface for displaying information and controlling the cooktop.

    Abstract: An apparatus includes a gas burner assembly which includes a gas burner and a gas supply conduit. The gas burner includes a gas supply opening and a substantially cylindrical socket formed on the exterior of the gas burner around the gas supply opening. The gas supply conduit includes an opening at an end and a substantially tubular adjoining section proximate to the opening. The adjoining section is configured to mate with the socket and includes a substantially radial protrusion. The socket includes a substantially radial depression for receiving the protrusion. As the gas supply conduit is connected with the gas burner to establish fluid communication at the gas supply opening, the protrusion is engaged in the depression thereby aligning the adjoining section in a predetermined manner about the socket and restricting rotational movement of the adjoining section about the socket.
