A maximum power output of the rear middle heat source is greater than maximum power outputs of the left side and right side heat sources, and a maximum power output of the front middle heat source is less than the maximum power outputs of the left side and right side heat sources.

Abstract: A ventilator hood assembly for mounting above a residential cooking range. The assembly includes a lower housing with a filter for capturing particulates entrapped in the air as it is drawn in from below the lower housing, and an upper section including a blower unit powered by a motor. The blower unit draws air in from the open bottom through the filter and expels air into an exhaust duct. An upper plenum is located below the blower unit and channels air into the blower unit. A microwave compartment is located above the lower housing and below the upper plenum. An intermediate conduit is located behind at least a back wall of the compartment and is connected to the lower housing and the upper plenum so as to provide a channel through which air from the cooktop can flow to the blower unit.

Abstract: A ventilator for a stove includes a fan with a motor, and a microprocessor controller that regulates the speed of the fan motor. The controller has a first input from a wireless receiver with a remote control, and a second input from a rotatable local control knob with a rotary encoder. Signals received from the remote control and the rotary encoder indicate whether to increase or decrease the power supplied to the fan, and by how much.

Abstract: A baffle filter for a ventilator has first and second frames with end and side walls, face to face and releasably attached. First and second baffles are mounted in the first and second frames, parallel and spaced apart. Each baffle has a base and two sides forming a U shaped channel open towards the other frame. The sides of each second baffle are angled towards the first frame and away from each other. The second and first baffles overlap and alternate to define serpentine paths into the filter between two first baffles, into the channel of a second baffle, back between the second baffle and one of those two first baffles, into the channel defined by that first baffle, and out between that second baffle and an adjacent second baffle. The channels of the first baffles extend toward drain holes in an end wall of the first frame.
