  • Publication number: 20140136184
Abstract: A textual ambiguity resolver system for disambiguating textual elements in information transferred over a communications network comprising a database; and a disambiguation processor adapted to perform a parsing operation on the transferred information, including an ambiguous mapping extractor module to identify at least one ambiguous textual element in the transferred information and to map said ambiguous textual element to at least one interpretation candidate in an ontology, a lexical resolver module to determine a relationship between said ambiguous textual element and an idiom phrase, a named-entity resolver module to determine a relationship between said ambiguous textual element and a named-entity element, a syntactic resolver module to determine a relationship between said ambiguous textual element and a syntactic compound, and a classification resolver module to determine a relationship between said ambiguous textual element and a linguistic pattern.

  • Publication number: 20140108409
Abstract: A method implementable on a computing device for detecting in an Internet post a shortest relevant text product experience is disclosed. The method includes detecting a pair of anchors from two anchor categories, where the anchor categories are also term categories associated with a predefined search subject and represent two essential relevant components of experience reports. The method additionally includes defining a basic segment as a shortest section of text between the pair of anchors.

  • Publication number: 20140108430
Abstract: A method implementable on a computing device for detecting personal experience event reports from user generated content on the Internet is disclosed. The method includes filtering a collection of Internet posts to include only the Internet posts containing personal experience terms. The method additionally includes further filtering the filtered Internet posts by removing the Internet posts with non-personal experience terms.

  • Publication number: 20140108429
Abstract: A method implementable on a computing device for scoring segments of Internet posts is disclosed. The method includes defining a set of indicating factors where each indicating factor is associated with a possible feature in the segments, and where possible features affect a likelihood that the Internet posts represent a user generated product personal experience event report associated with a pre-defined search subject.

  • Patent number: 8612455
Abstract: A method for retrieving Internet posts, implementable on a computing device, includes analyzing Internet posts to define segments in the Internet posts, where the segments at least contain terms consistent with user generation of a personal experience event report associated with a pre-defined search subject, and scoring each of the segments, where the score indicates a likelihood that the Internet post associated with the segment represents a user generated the personal experience report associated with the pre-defined search subject. A method for detecting personal experience event reports from user generated content on the Internet includes filtering a collection of Internet posts to include only Internet posts containing personal experience terms, and further filtering the filtered Internet posts by removing the Internet posts with non-personal experience terms.
