  • Publication number: 20220362061
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to wound therapy apparatuses and methods for use in negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT). Such wound therapy apparatuses and methods may reduce maceration during NPWT. The wound therapy apparatus may include a porous hydrophobic layer surrounded by a hydrophilic ring. The hydrophilic ring may serve to prevent passage of liquid while negative pressure is applied to the wound, but allow liquid passage to an absorbent ring when negative pressure is no longer applied. A transmission layer may also be included, underlying the absorbent layer.

  • Patent number: 10398826
Abstract: A pressure output device (POD) assembly for sensing fluid pressure in a fluid processing system, is provided. This POD assembly includes a shell defining a shell interior, and a movable diaphragm disposed in the shell interior and separating the shell interior into a flow-through chamber and a pressure sensing side. A sensor port is in fluid communication with the pressure sensing side. An inlet port and an outlet port are in fluid communication with the flow-through chamber. The inlet port and the outlet port define an inlet and an outlet, respectively, of a flow-through channel that passes through the flow-through chamber. A boss protrudes from the interior wall of the shell and extends into the flow-through channel to prevent occlusion of flow under different pressure conditions within the flow-through chamber.

  • Publication number: 20180099135
Abstract: A medical fluid line connector includes a main body configured to accept a corresponding connector, where the main body defines an opening permitting fluid communication between an interior region of the medical fluid line connector and the corresponding connector when the corresponding connector is connected to the main body. The connector also includes a breakaway body detachably connected to the main body, such that, when the breakaway body is inserted into an open end of a flexible medical fluid line, the breakaway body has a portion creating an interference fit against an inner surface of the flexible medical fluid line, and the breakaway body is detachable from the maim body such that detachment of the breakaway forms a second opening in the main body that permits fluid communication between the medical fluid line and the interior region of the medical fluid line connector.

  • Publication number: 20070162903
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for identifying and displaying dependencies. One aspect of the invention comprises a system having a dependency parser that parses components of a system with dependencies and generates a plurality of component dependency pairs associated with the components, and a component dependency graph generator that generates a dependency directed graph from the plurality of dependency pairs. The system further includes a component levels and cycles analyzer that traverses the dependency directed graph to identify dependencies, strong components and component dependency levels associated with the dependency directed graph, and a graphical user interface that provides a tree view illustrating a dependency tree of the identified dependencies over the identified component dependency levels.

  • Patent number: 5973326
Abstract: A gas monitor includes an infra-red source enclosed within a housing having inner surfaces which are reflective. Radiation emitted from the source reflects off ellipsoidal surfaces and intermediate planar surfaces to be focussed at a sensor, being reflected five times. Radiation is absorbed by gas within the housing and a comparison of the source intensity and detected intensity gives a measure of the gas concentration. Use of ellipsoidal reflective surfaces directs emitted radiation along a plurality of routes having substantially the same path length, hence giving an accurate measure of the gas concentration with a compact device. In another embodiment, off axis parabolas are used to direct the radiation through the gas.

  • Patent number: 4413694
Abstract: A lock assembly for retaining a tiltable cab structure in a normal operating position relative to the body structure of a truck. Each lock assembly comprises two transversely spaced latches, each including a keeper attached to one of the structure, a latch member attached to the other structure and mounted for movement into and out of a closed position to effect latching engagement with the keeper, and an operating lever movable between an unlocking position in which the latch member is disengageable with the keeper and a locking position in which the latch member is retained in engagement with the keeper. A releasing linkage interconnects the operating levers for simultaneously moving the operating levers between the locking and unlocking positions.

  • Patent number: 4413695
Abstract: A motor vehicle comprises a body structure, a cab mounted on the body structure for movement about a pivot axis between a normal operating position and a tilted position, and a support radially spaced from the pivot axis for supporting the cab structure on the body structure in the normal operating position of the cab, at least one of the supports comprising a keeper attached to one of the structures and a latch member attached to the other structure and mounted for movement into and out of latch engagement with the keeper when the cab is in its normal operating position, the keeper comprising a bracket mounted on the said one structure and a striker pin resiliently mounted on the bracket. The resiliently mounting of the striker pin in the bracket minimizes wear between the striker pin and the latch member during use of the vehicle and also reproduces vibrations transmitted from the body structure into the cab structure.
